A new FDA rule being implemented will ban tobacco products over a certain percent of nicotine. This is expected save many lives and lower addiction of deadly nicotine in tobacco. Will this limit the sales of cigars as well going forward.

Yeah...no. Did you read both articles? One is the typical fear mongering and sensationalism expected, complete with dire predictions of violence in the streets. The other, while arguably overly-optimistic on the positive effects this will have, pretty much sticks to the facts.

Not going to happen. Some here should stop with the "sensationalism". If I am in need of it, there are plenty of channels on the TV.

Naw. Last I heard they can't even properly test for nicotine levels in cigars, trying to hold them to some sort of nicotine standard would be nigh impossible.

Can't see it passing.

FYI. The ATF has the same system for rule making but I have repeatedly seen them just run things through much quicker and with little actual recognition of public comment. I’m in the business so I typically see this rule making go sideways occasionally, however my own opinion is this will be either altered to a vague ghost of what’s proposed or just quietly get shelved for four years.
