LowLeaf Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 I am rehabilitating some Cubans for someone that receives them regularly as gifts (he is a money manager). He doesn't really smoke and does not have a humidor. He brought a bunch to a cigar event and they were so dry they were unsmokeable. I offered to put them in my wineador to see if they could be brought back to smokeable condition. I have kept it pretty much at 60/65. Now 6 months later, they are at least smokeable. I have Partagas Lusitanias, Upmann No 2s, and a Cohiba Gran Reserve I can't confirm. It is 6 5/8" with a large (56?) ring gauge. It has the Cohiba label with holographic Tainos head and holographic bands top and bottom. It also has a black and gold Gran Reserve ring below. The only cigar I can find in that size range is the Ideales, but this does not have the limited edition or 55 rings, only the gran reserva. It also is not as dark as the pictures of the Ideales I have seen. This is classic Cohiba red/light brown. I smoked one as a test and it was very smooth, fairly complex with a razor sharp burn. Ideas?
