Popular Post Ken Gargett Posted Saturday at 05:03 AM Popular Post Posted Saturday at 05:03 AM some old mates, mostly orthopods, hold a lunch every year. around twenty of us. this was my tenth year, though they have been going for about 25. everyone brings a couple of excellent bottles (supposedly a magnum or two of the same but often not). problem is most bring closer to three. so we had about 35 different wines. ridiculous overkill and no one tries everything. followed by cigars (this year, i went for moderation - after four big Nudies after the lunch last year, just one good R&J this year). there were numerous other bottles including my Lanson Noble Cuvee 2002 that i failed to photograph (and a Selosse whic engendered huge debate - love it or hate it stuff). so, some pics - forgive, no one kept the full list. and i am trying out the changes that were suggested for the phone so if we need John, it didn't work. 13

Pvalue83 Posted Saturday at 05:44 PM Posted Saturday at 05:44 PM Awesome stuff! I would love to hear your thoughts on the 2010 Leo Las Cases @Ken Gargett - heard very good things about it and bought some ex-chateaux but haven’t tried any yet….Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Fuzz Posted Sunday at 06:48 AM Posted Sunday at 06:48 AM Fantastic selection! Had some of the Sydney FOH boys over yesterday for our Xmas party, but our wine selection pales by comparison!

VeguerosMAN Posted yesterday at 01:02 PM Posted yesterday at 01:02 PM Are those wines readily available at local wine stores (like Total Wine in the US)? I don't know much about wine (more of a beer aficionado) but the wine selections are so vast that I don't know where to begin.

Some are - I would presume most of the Aussie wine will be harder to source in the US though. Total Wine has a great search function for all stores: https://www.totalwine.com/wine/red-wine/pinot-noir/faiveley-beaune-1er-cru-clos-de-lecu-monopole/p/179316750?s=1703&igrules=true (2014) https://www.totalwine.com/wine/red-wine/bordeaux-blend/chateau-pontet-canet-pauillac/p/32215750?s=1703&igrules=true (2015) https://www.totalwine.com/wine/red-wine/nebbiolo/sandrone-aleste-barolo/p/242148750?s=1701&igrules=true (2017) https://www.totalwine.com/wine/red-wine/bordeaux-blend/chateau-leoville-las-cases-st-julien/p/29920750?s=1703&igrules=true (2020) https://www.totalwine.com/wine/champagne-sparkling-wine/champagne/blanc-de-blancs/taittinger-comtes-blanc-de-blancs-vintage-champagne/p/2658750?s=1703&igrules=true Wine-searcher.com is a great resource too, although I don't believe it indexes Total Wine. 1
