What's up for the weekend?

There have been a few Christmas catchups these past few weeks and I am in need of a weee respite this weekend 

Chores this morning, light lunch out with Di, cigar+newspaper+ 2 x Negroni this afternoon, Movie night this evening. 

Fishing with may two sons on the boat tomorrow.  I love fishing with them.

Catching up with friends this weekend. Started off last night catching up with @Fuzz and @jay8354 for some cigars and champagne. My wife and I have a group catch-up of friends who've we've known for years tonight and then lunch on Sunday with a close friends who we went to Europe with last summer.

We've got a quiet one, no kids parties 🎉.

The fire will be on all day, a tap may or may not get fixed and tomorrow there will be a walk followed by a pub lunch.

Working all Saturday, son's invited to a friend's birthday party tomorrow, I have to find and replace some led spotlights and do some chores. 

I might have time for a cigar tomorrow in the afternoon but I've been feeling a bit sick so we'll see...

50 mph winds today and thunderstorms are keeping me pretty subdued this weekend.

The weather's not great here in Scotland so, a weekend of cigars and cocktails is planned.
Starting with a Diplomaticos Grande German RE (great size) and a negroni or two.

Small town Christmas parade this afternoon with some friends, a cigar, and a jug of swill. Afterwards some grub and a movie at the house. Sunday will probably be eating aspirin and holding my swollen head.

Chockablock here. Eye exam, shopping, make baklava, grade papers, more shopping, visit the tailor, wake/celebration of life for a friend's grandmother.

@ElJavi76 has a friend (Osvaldo) in town for the weekend that used to be a tobacco farmer in Cuba, so we had a little get together at the club with myself and Ted @fastkiller13, and Nick Syris, who is an old friend of mine who has a popular cigar podcast and also knows Osvaldo from all the time he has spent in Cuba.  

Between the two of these guys, we have been having some amazing and informative discussions about Cuba in general, and the current state of the Cuban cigar industry.

Some light straightening of the house before guests arrive; finishing writing a book chapter for work; some Christmas movies on the screen; and Montecristo Petit #2 waiting on me in the dry box.

Turning in one 25 page paper tomorrow, then starting a 6000 word paper on constitutional theory while also outlining for an 8 hour exam on Thursday, after which I can start thinking about another 7-10 page paper on the law of autonomous vehicles due by Christmas. Fun time! 🥴

Flying back through Houston after a week in Panama City. Final leg back to the cooler weather tomorrow.

Abalone season started on Saturday. A quick drive down the coast, It didn't look too bad so I opted for just a vest and rashy. Legs look as though a cheese grater has been over them. Another scar or two to remember the day. 

Xmas cigar herf at Familija cigars here in Perth, a local guy making some inroads into the cigar industry. Good to see.Full goat on the spit. Ended up at Devlin's cigar divan. What an amazing day and night. Breakfast in Kings Park with the girls. They made me wear pants and not shorts as my legs...look gross. Happy with my efforts.
