naim_yazbeck Posted December 8 Posted December 8 I'm curious to know if anyone is seeing an improvement in supply. Lately, I've tried multiple places, except a B&M in Switzerland (but with crazy prices), and I am seeing a worse supply, especially for anything larger than a Robusto size ( a few HdM Epi 2 at $US30+ were available). Stevieboy Posted December 8 Posted December 8 Spain is pretty low on stock. I've been to Barcelona, Seville, Cordoba, Málaga over the last year and hardly anything of note. Lots of small Cohiba, RyJ Cupidos, Trinidad gathering dust at huge prices. I came back from BCN recently with only 30 cigars (mostly NCs) and I usually max out my allowance of 100...not so this time.
Garand Posted December 8 Posted December 8 In Germany it depends. Shops get delivery once a week, so you have to be fast to get anything nice. 1
Ciscojohansson Posted December 8 Posted December 8 Same in Scandinavia. They deliver often, but small amounts and everything larger than PC sell out. Cupidos, Chinese New Year line, Trinidad, Linea de Oro, small Cohiba etc. sit on the shelves. The Chinese Line seems to be a big fail, at least in this part of the world. 1
Skm672 Posted December 8 Posted December 8 Spain has some inventory. I went to a famous shop in Madrid that was well stocked but unfortunately even for a box of Regional Editions, which he has plenty of, he asks you to buy a Cohiba Siglo D’oro. I had better luck with other Estancos. 1
Popular Post El Presidente Posted December 8 Popular Post Posted December 8 Patchy globally. Some regions have far better supply than others. If I was conspiratorial, I would be thinking that stock is being used as both the carrot and stick to bring agitators into line. 4 1
JV0505 Posted December 9 Posted December 9 I’ve noticed that a lot of the more expensive sticks have more availability than normal production.
mtapia3 Posted December 9 Posted December 9 I was in Havana a few weeks ago, and the shelves are still mostly empty in the shops there. I was hoping to find a little more quantity and selection given it was the week of the Partagas Festival, but there was no such luck. Interestingly enough, I saw a group of Asian gentlemen at the airport, leaving the country with stacks of cases displaying the Habanos insignia 🤔
