Not the best of pics. Any Intel with this particular cigar would be appreciated. Looks okay to me. Am I novice? Far from it. Smells of nutmeg, cinnamon and very floral. Thanks in advance !

Don't know much about those, it's a gran corona but you already knew it. Only seen it mentioned once in another forum in 2014.

The band looks like it's aged with the cigar, which is a good sign. Is the band tight on the cigar. Is their any play?

Ultimately, a lot will be learned from how you came to be in possession of it. If it's from someone who didn't now it's value or a family friend etc etc it's very likely to be genuine.

If it was sold to you by someone wanting anywhere over half it's auction value. My fears it would be a Particulares, Monte A, or Sanchos would be very, very high.

Looks legit to me. Have seen about 3. The only risk you have here is if someone smoked it already and replaced and rebanded a Monte A in it's place. Feel along the band, if there's a divot it could have been reapplied.

Also what is this shiny spot here? Looks like the wrapper was repaired?

For me, the stain on the wax paper is difficult to fake. I agree, the cigar can always be substituted out; however, the Dunhill Havana Club was a Gran Corona and there's never been a huge number of options available if one wanted to do this!

Thanks John. It is some weird type of paper like tube. Hard to explain. Never seen anything like it. It smells just amazing.

Thanks Frank. We did a little repair work. I have sausage fingers. Definitely not my hands in the pics.

Okay thanks to one and all. We applied glue to a few cracks that is what the stain is. As mentioned I don't consider myself anything close to even being a novice. That said, I am certain this is no Monte A. Smoked a few and seen plenty. The band is intact well and truly. Packing appears to be legit.

Where did it come from? I have some 1974 Por Larranaga Petit Lancero Tubos and R&J No 1 Tubos given to me 12 years ago. (I gave one to Rob and Smithy, Rob put his through the wash.) 🤔  A friend's mother travelled overseas and bought them back decades ago. At the time she said she had more somewhere. And so this was it...she found them and couple of Henry Clay that smell like musk. As well as this, she found some Sir Walter Raleigh x2. The Dunhill was given to her husband for being part of a bridal party. Dates and time are all legit. Personally, I have no real doubts. Just putting it out there. I showed her some figures on Bond Roberts. She refused to take any money but made me promise to smoke it.

I would be pretty satisfied with this, and worry free. It would however be interesting if the band wasn't a little loose, especially being aged in Aussie.

Looks legit to me & the story should be good enough…enjoy!

Has been tucked away in an undercroft at a canal house. So it may not of been all that bad. For the last 30 years anyway. 😀
