Bud light moment?!. Jaguar has service included in their original warranty. The issue with that is they did oil changes every 10K and I heard from a mechanic I race with that it's now 20K oil changes that Jaguar includes. Who'd want to buy a used car where the oil at best was changed ever 10K and more likely every 20K? That engine doesn't look good for the long haul. Jaguar should've had a longer warranty with no service included. When Tata bought JLR, Jaguar was an afterthought. ~2007 was Jaguar's best modern era of cars. The fruition of Ford's investment.
GVan Posted November 22 Posted November 22 Perhaps it is all about getting the Millennials to buy Jags. If the second article below is correct - Jaguar has 20 years to get their marketing correct...LOL 1

I call one eyed lada bullshit on that one. Maybe in your corner of the woods. Internationally they are seen as good looking unreliable money buckets. Nothing wrong with spending the coin but if you want something good looking, unreliable but with cache, you go Range Rover/LR. 2
Dr Process Posted November 23 Posted November 23 Being serious, and I don’t think of myself as someone that is significantly motivated by what others think (I guess we all pretend that though), I don’t think I could drive into the lot at work in a Jaguar if this is going to remain the advertising. I have always been fond of Jags. But, I’m not trying to make a political statement by driving one. But, I guess they are going after the Bentley driver...There are many uber-wealthy woke-type celebs that will probably buy a jag to make that statement. Enough of them to support a brand? Thinking that they’ll get the celebs and then it will trickle down to non-celeb wealthy folk? I don’t know. Not my field. I see them becoming a cautionary tale. We’ll see…
Hammer Smokin' Posted November 23 Posted November 23 Being that the number of news outlets, and other randoms, are now talking about the commercial, and the amount of political pundits talking about the commercial, the "woke" advertisers at Jaguar show why they won. 1

This is true. I honestly haven’t even thought of Jaguar in a long time. Then again, my thoughts aren’t positive. Like it was said above, any pub is good pub...I guess.
dicko Posted November 23 Posted November 23 Perhaps it is all about getting the Millennials to buy Jags. If the second article below is correct - Jaguar has 20 years to get their marketing correct...LOL As an "older millenial" I think we have hit peak woke with my age cohort. Knowing a lot of younger gen z, alphas myself....they are all very, very anti-woke. Big generational pendulum swing is coming.I hate the ad. Go woke, go broke. That said, Jags are cool. My old mans best mate had a few of the classics. Loved them. The recent ones seem uninspired though..basically commodores with a nicer badge. That said, not car guy and prefer 4wds.Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk 2

I call one eyed "JAAAAAAG" bullshit on that one. Try and suffer through these three bell ends, it's basically a self confessional. I quite like an old school Land Rover Defender, but in terms of Range Rovers, I think the only cache it provides is D-lister celeb energy...and you wouldn't want that now Rob, would you?

Range Rover is essentially a Jaguar with more computers and parts.
CaptainQuintero Posted December 3 Posted December 3 So the first of the new models have been released for the re-brand, all electric I believe: Personally, I think they look stunning https://news.sky.com/story/jaguar-boss-says-we-want-to-be-bold-and-disruptive-after-rebrand-backlash-as-new-electric-car-revealed-13265700 1 1

Lamboinee Posted December 3 Posted December 3 This is one of jaguar's worst ideas since they rebadged a Ford Contour and called it an X-Type. I'm afraid that Jaguar has used up all of its nine lives. 1
CaptainQuintero Posted December 3 Posted December 3 It may be a pertinent issue that I love the look, but I'm 100% not in the market segment that would ever be able to buy one. 1
