Yeah, so it doesn't have much to do with cigars, but they drink a lot of rum in it, so I'm gonna sneak it in here.

How does Capt. Barbossa kill Bootstrap Bill (Orlando Bloom - Will Turner's father)? Bill takes a piece of the Aztec gold out of the chest like the rest of the guys, thereby becoming cursed, and also immortal.

You see Barbossa try to kill another crew member who has been cursed, and he can't. Barbossa is supposed to have killed Bill by tying a canon to his feet and throwing him into the ocean. Yet later in the film, we see all the cursed dudes walking under water, so they can't drown.

Maybe those with an extensive knowledge of pirates and heathen curses can help me out :-P

Damn you guys are deep thinkers. I thought it was just a movie, but now I realize it's not.

Rumour has it that Bootstrap Bill will be making an appearance in Pirates of the Caribbean : Dead Mans Chest, so God knows.

Along with Keith Richards as Jack's old man its gonna be interesting.

All I know is that insipid trilogy "Lord of the Rings" (would be a great 3 hr movie as opposed to the 9 hr boring monologue I had to sit through with my son) pinched the whole "Ghost army" bullshit from POC to neatly wrap up the major battle scene.

Seriously after the 4th hour I was hoping the Dorks/Morks/torks (whatever) would kill the lot of them.

POC was a much superior movie :-D

 I guess you weren't one of those nerds who dressed up as their favourite character and waited outside the cinemas for a week to get into the first screening huh?

hey ben, I heard that keith won't be appearing in the movie afterall, but I really hope he does. Who better to play a constantly drunken pirate than he? They wouldn't even have to bother with makeup or anything.

We were talking around breafast this morning (Daily ritual between members Dean Merlo/Shagga Bowden/Graeme Marriot and myself) of whatever happended to the gent who had toes transplanted as fingers?

As stated this morning all I would want in the same situation is a hook, a patch and a parrot

Hey, I wonder if they would put ken in the movie? I hear he has a lot of experiences hanging around the docks with sailors :-P

Also, I was thinking... if I borrow a cd of a mate, and then make myself a copy, I'm committing the crime of piracy... so technically, I'm a pirate :lookaround:
