El Presidente Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Deep breaths good people.....deep breaths Regardless of what occurs, the sun will rise the next day. I love election nights (domestic as well as US/UK) and the tradition of a BBQ, cigars and drinks as the votes roll in and the great unwashed get to decide which useless muppet takes the reigns. Meanwhile, the world continues to spin and the algorithms continue to spin confected outrage and the resultant billions It is always a fascinating day I have my cigars picked. BR 109, H.Upmann Winnie, Your cigars? I hope to see you on FOH Election Zoom! 4
Chas.Alpha Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I’m likely burning the ERdM Tainos (2020) that @Nevrknow sent me some months back. You do have that *mute* button already hovering over my name on Zoom, yeah? 🤣

You do have that *mute* button already hovering over my name on Zoom, yeah? 🤣 Pulling out a Tainos is a mighty fine idea. I might just join you there, though I’ll be arriving a little after 8pm (when polls close here in PA). For now though the plan is to break out a CoLa if I am relaxed enough to smoke one properly. We’ll see!
charx Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I have that sinking feeling so I'll be smoking a Lusitania 🛳️ paired with a few stiff drinks 🙃 DAY AFTER ELECTION EDIT: yup. called it. 2

You couldn’t be more right, Mr. Presidente. I work adjacent to local politics as a campaign finance regulator (we’re still the good guys, I think) and I’ll be doing my best to tune it all out tomorrow. Once you’re done voting, there’s nothing more you can do beyond that point. Still considering my cigar options, though. Definitely something special to mark the occasion. cigaraholic Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I’ll smoke a couple of really great cigars with champagne or I’ll just smoke something extremely illegal with God knows what. 1
Popular Post mwaller Posted November 5 Popular Post Posted November 5 Probably one of my home rolls… just wrapped these last night, and I’m pretty pleased with the blend. The filler is from Honduras, Dominican Republic, and Brazil. The binder is from Ecuador and wrapper is from Nicaragua. All tobaccos are at least 5 years old; the Honduras and Brazil fillers have more than a decade of age. Based on an earlier test roll, the predominant flavors are toasted marshmallow with a touch of hazelnut. The blend finishes with a bit of cocoa and peanuts. 25 3
BrightonCorgi Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I'd like a Henry Clay or any other cigar named after an American. Any ideas?
Edicion Posted November 5 Posted November 5 If new world is fine then I recall this Vegafina from some other post, or why not an Alec Bradley? 1
ha_banos Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I've got a Cuban for tonight! 🖕 .. that's to the regime!
Shakey Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I suppose a selection of belicosos and Punches will be appropriate for the occasion. 🙂 Might throw in a BR 109 or a Nudie to keep the boss happy. 1
SirVantes Posted November 5 Posted November 5 NCs may have the edge on cigars that may be apposite for the night: AJ Fernandez - New World, Requiem, The Bull Roma Craft - Neanderthal, Knuckle Dragger
bmac Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I may don my double breasted suit and have an aristocrat.😎 1
Chitmo Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I kinda feel like I need to know if I’m celebrating or mourning 😂 2 1
jranders52 Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Most of my Cuban cigars are resting for now so I'll probably go for a NW. Fuente Short Story or Davidoff Signature No2. Deep breaths.

BoliDan Posted November 5 Posted November 5 As an outside smoker its gonna snow tonight. 😞 Ill live vicariously in the daily smoke thread.
Chibearsv Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Fat Fundy or Monte 1 or both. We'll see how it goes. The one thing I won't see how it goes is the "most important election of our lifetime" (wish I had a dollar for every time I've heard that in my lifetime). I can wait until tomorrow's paper for those results. Cigars and some tunes tonight sounds like a better idea to me. Cheers all. 3
