BigGuns Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Couldn’t agree more with all those points. I religiously bleed and wait after fueling and I firmly believe those are the main reasons the two torches I rotate through have been going strong for 15 years or so. One thing I also do is lower the flame strength all the way down before bleeding and fueling. I have no idea if that helps, but I recall reading/hearing it once. Any thoughts on this? 4
ha_banos Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 I've a xikar tech twin jet I've been using as my only lighter for 10 years almost. I occasionally bleed it. Not every refill. Use swan gas. Still on my first refill cylinder ☺️ Been a charm. 4

Habanoschris Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 Great stuff🔥 I've found bleeding them is key to longevity particularly for the cheap ones that can stop working after a few cycles otherwise. 1
