Jakeremus
Just got the raching MON1800A humidor. What do you guys keep your temp and rh at? As of now I set mine to 67 degrees Fahrenheit and 63% rh.
Socrates
Nice! I just placed a factory order for a MON2800A with sliding drawer rails, so I have to wait about another 6 long weeks or so for mine and I'm really looking forward to it. I plan to run mine at 70F and 64% RH. Will be interested to hear how your setting hold across different shelves once you load in your cigars. Enjoy! I was thinking to get the MON2800A but ended up with this one since they had it in a warehouse near me. As of right now my MON1800A is set to 67°F and 65 RH and so far the hydrometer on the top shelf is holding around 63-64°F and 63-64 RH and the hydrometer on the bottom shelf is holding around 67-68°F and 61-63 RH
Socrates
Cool. Have you put your cigars in yet or are you still seasoning it? I was thinking (when I get mine) to let it run at 70F/70RH for 1-2 weeks or so just to make sure all the wood inside has fully absorbed the moisture it needs and then drop it to my settings before adding in boxes. Curious to know what your process was or whether you just followed the manual?
