Warped Isla Del Cocodrilo corona gorda (FreeSep24)

I'm excited to try this one given that I am a fan of Warped, even though the brand is hit or miss with me.

First third starts off great! Creamy smoke texture, almost custardy (is that a word...it should be). Flavors of vanilla, cream, custard with very light white pepper. It is smooth and delicious. Right up my ally from the start.

Second third transitions a bit, the custard and cream turn to more of a buttery caramel with some light sweet spices. Still a velvety smoke texture. Draw and burn have been spot on thus far.

Final third sees the vanilla cream come back in with some earth, white pepper and sweet spices. The flavors did get a little gritty here and I had to relight but the burn remained good. I nubbed it!

My final rating is a 78, box worthy! If it finished smoother toward the end of the final third it would have been in the 80's, an instant favorite/humidor mainstay. It is possible it gets there with some time down to round out the final third and maybe help the combustion in the final third. Great new offering from Warped!

I hear ya. These aren't even widely available in the US. I couldn't find them in my local B&M shops. I had to order them online.

Yeah, since the reviews on youtube hyped it up, they've been hard to get even online from what I understand 😅
