El Presidente Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Welcome to: "Snapshot Snippets: Cigar Edition." I post a photo. Members can post one "snippet" of information on the photo "one only" otherwise the post will be deleted. Each piece of information receives a ticket into a sampler draw once the thread is considered to be completed. One post per member on any thread. This stops Alex Groom from winning The objective? To "deep dive" the item in question. Delve every nook and cranny for relevent information (as determined by mods) that moves the needle in further illuminating to the photo in question. You will quiclky get the hang of it ! Let's kick off with the following photo. 4

Puros Y Vino Posted August 29 Posted August 29 15 count RyJ Short Churchill Tubos humidor. A/P distributor release. I'll go with Alex on release year. 😁 1
Shakey Posted August 29 Posted August 29 Looks like the Western Europe Short Churchill humidor. CCW says a 2011 release but I’m not going to disagree with @ATGroom.

This box was brought up in a different group a few years ago where they got an answer from Tabacalera directly, so I'd go with their answer (which was May 2009). Originated from Spain, although they did get around a bit. 3

But perhaps that was just the Spanish overrun.
zeedubbya Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Feature I love in a Tubos Box… Includes a humidifier— WHY? 1 1

Seriously, that plastic thingy costs bugger all and you can call the box a “humidor”… Inflates the size of the box, as does the wooden spacer included, so looking more impressive (see New Gold Medal…). Bonus to boot – it’s completely dysfunctional anyway, like in other humidor boxes and jars. 1
Cigar Surgeon Posted September 1 Posted September 1 Humidor. Scratch that. Short Churchills tubo case. 2011 release, Western Europe.
