Uwiik Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 Just for giggles, keeping the discussions interesting. How slow are you in smoking your cigar? I just realised that I am an extremely slow smoker. I average 3 hrs on a Lusitania, 2 hr 30 mins on Fundadores and 1 hr 15 mins on Montecristo no.4. It's funny because I usually always rush when eating, drinking or whatever. 2
ha_banos Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 Similar. It does make me scoff when I see suggested timings online. Most retailers over here claim Vitola: Petit Corona Smoking Time: 30 Minutes I give a PC 60-90 mins. So I image a newbie hoofing them down when this is what's expected of them! At least they have the decency to give a double Corona 90+ minutes! Foxy gives a PC minimum 20-30 mins! Only Laurence Davies would manage 20 mins!

BrightonCorgi Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 I can smoke a Monte A and be done before the 3rd quarter starts in an NFL game.
Popular Post loose_axle Posted August 24, 2024 Popular Post Posted August 24, 2024 Very slow. DC 3-3 & 1/2 hours. Robusto will easily take me an hour and a half. 5
Ford2112 Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 I'm a slow smoker. I always lag compared to my smoking buddies. Cigars are not to be rushed! 3
cigaraholic Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 I'm right on time. I try and smoke cigars slowly and never let them go out. Every cigar has its own rhythm depending on its roll and fill, I’m not going to make any sex jokes🤐 1
Popular Post Cigar Surgeon Posted August 25, 2024 Popular Post Posted August 25, 2024 Pretty slow. Lancero I can get up to 3 hours if it's rolled well. Robustos are 2-2.5 hours. PCs range but I've had ones 90 min to 2 hours before. The slower the better. 6

If you have the steely discipline to wait 2-4 minutes between puffs, then the world of short-filler CCs really opens up to you. I find that the main problem with short/mixed filler cigars is that they go sour easily if you smoke "too fast." However, if you're waiting multiple minutes between puffs, then these otherwise problematic cigars should provide an experience not too far from long filler sticks. For example, Flor de Cano Elegidos can be crazy tasty if you have the necessary discipline (full disclosure: I don't ). 2
Cigarsmoker81 Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 For me I keep my cigars at 62% and my smoke time is avg of 70-75 min for robusto and 90-105 for pyramid/ toro. But for NCs I tend to smoke them faster by 15-30 min.

Like 2-4 min in between? In my mind I'm taking 2-3 puffs a minute. It could be how hard I'm puffing that makes the difference, I don't know. I suppose one of these days I should set up a camera and then count the number of puffs I take on a cigar of a particular vitola.
McBeardface Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 I tend to lose track of time entirely when smoking cigars (sort of a humble brag, I know), but I have a feeling I’m a hasty smoker. However, I try to get close to the edge of how ever long the cigar I’m smoking will remain lit without going out between puffs; mainly to make sure it doesn’t get too hot and bitter. How frequently I need to take a puff depends a lot on the shape, construction, etc. So, to make a long story short, it depends and varies widely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
