Cohiba Wide Shorts - factory code MUB, but not sure of production date 🤷🏻‍♂️

Size: 31RG x 100mm

Just picked these up hot off the presses. I was concerned that this “Wide Short”, which is only in its infancy of being a member of the Habanos vitolario, would be disappointing, but now that I’ve had one I know it is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

I don’t have much experience with tripta corta (short filler) Habanos, so I was not sure if smoking this right off the truck was a good idea. I threw caution to the wind and lit one up while I was on a road trip today, and man did this little guy surprise me. I swear I was smoking a baby Siglo VI!! I am glad I only brought one with me to work because I would have chain smoked these, they’re so good! 😂 Total smoke time was about 20 minutes and the little cigarillo was smooth, sweet, and mild from the beginning to the nub. There was a very prominent honey note throughout the smoke, with hay/grass, shortbread and vanilla and mixing in. Absolutely love this cigarillo.

You’re a mad man. That was a lot more smoke and seemed to burn faster in a strange pattern. Flavors were not any different just more pronounced/easier to detect. Fun to try but I don’t think I’ll blow through these at double the pace anymore lol.

Exactly! With the regular shorts/wide shorts the flavour is there but not intense enough. When you do two at the same time it hits you with that pronounced Cohiba taste even though its machine filler and not to mention that smoke, almost seems like a regular stick. 🤣

Smoked my first one today. Fantastic little stick. All sweet hay, honey and vanilla on the light. The sweetness faded into toasted tobacco and was a little harsh here and there before recovering back with the sweetness lilting in and out over the final stretch.

I do wonder how these will perform with a year or two down.
