CC cigars that swing both ways?

I noted on todays 2424 that I love the fact that the QD Corona can be enjoyed both "fresh" and aged. Two remarkably different profiles and both very enjoyable to me.

I have this question asked of me on a regular basis. "Cigars that deliiver an enjoyable experience young and  and yet transition into a vibarant and different  personality with longer term aging?"

From your experience, throw some more into the mix ;)

BPC. Those things can still bite after a decade or so before smoothing a little to be closer to a Coronas Extra in terms of strength in that flavor profile.

Man I miss those.

Cheers

Regios -    Nice fresh raspberry, barnyard young.       Old, offers very complex leathery earthy/nutty aspects

Mag 46-    Nice ass kicking liqorice forward nic beast young.         Old, offers classic Upmann leathery shortbready notes

JL2-          Nice zesty choc-orange, bbq sauce young.        Old, offers melded mocha, leathery, woodier notes

I once had a BBF SLB with a one month old box code that was fantastic, but that was over 20 years ago.

I would think that the number one vitola mentioned on this forum, throughout the years, that satisfies both in its youth and aged, would have to be the Por Larranaga Petit Coronas.

I came in to say this, caramel bombs with decent years on them, but that punchy sweet youth is just (maybe more) as good.

PLPC & Sancho Panza Non Plus have been consistently great young as well as developing nicely with age for me. 👌

For my taste, Partagas Shorts. Young they are feisty. After a few years of age they smooth out but still have that core tobacco flavor.

For me, Shorts have been much better after 3+ years and the best box (was outstanding) was 5 year mark.

I'm pretty new to Fonseca but so far the newer box dates I have, have been approachable and I get the feeling that might just be common experience.

Historically, HdM in general have always been decent when new to me.

JL1 Gives me the exact same results you referenced. I enjoy them fresh and aged

JL2 is too bitter as a young cigar for me.

I like fresh RASS. I am quite surprised by how my 2023 box has been smoking right now.
