I’ve said it a couple of times (sorry if I’m repeating myself) but this is a reasonable example - I feel the biggest downside to plain packaging is not storage, aesthetics, experience, etc., but actually increased opportunity for scammers and less information for us buyers.

Until now, I hadn’t thought about the idea that those who have bought solely in countries with plain packaging will have effectively zero exposure to the usual checks when they encounter a branded box. And frankly, if someone that is a member of this forum is unsure - what chance does the average punter have? It’s such a silly rule in that context.

So it’s funny that you say that because I was told that someone has been buying Cubans from this seller for the past 10-15 years and only now is being told the news that they’ve been fakes.

$50 per box? I don't see a victim here. Try smoking. If it's disgusting, you can make a wall panel out of cigars. Any Cuban tobacco is worth the money.
