Marrduk24 Posted July 21, 2024 Posted July 21, 2024 Have been watching a few different video tours of Laguito factory and that has really made me seek out Cohibas rolled in Laguito. I saw that the factory has draw machines. Is that the norm in all of the factories or just Laguito?
Popular Post Monterey Posted July 21, 2024 Popular Post Posted July 21, 2024 They have them everywhere and are used often. That is why you rarely hear of draw problems of Cuban cigars 🤣 If only they used them. 5 5
NSXCIGAR Posted July 21, 2024 Posted July 21, 2024 ^^ this Having them is the norm. Using them is less so. 1
Cigar Surgeon Posted July 21, 2024 Posted July 21, 2024 I have pictures of draw machines from factories in Havana. Mind you none of them are plugged in...

Ford2112 Posted July 21, 2024 Posted July 21, 2024 I needed an iron lung to get any smoke the other day.
BoliDan Posted July 21, 2024 Posted July 21, 2024 QC checks are largely up the floor manager. Did you see them using it? Id suspect if any factories do some QC el laguito would be the one. They also have ring gauge checkers that are clearly not used.

So a Robusto can be 47 to 53 in gauge. Now that is QC at its finest 6
Sandman Posted July 23, 2024 Posted July 23, 2024 Not a guarantee, but given the choice, I always go for El Laguito rolled Cohiba. But I don’t think they use those machines that much. I’ve definitely had my fair share of overly tight Cohibas from that factory over the years, but less than other factories.

SCgarman Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 Who needs draw test machines when they are rolled on the thighs of virgins?😁 1
GerardMichaelTX Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 I have seen the way those factory women look...
Marrduk24 Posted July 24, 2024 Author Posted July 24, 2024 Thanks all. What I am hearing is while most factories have them, they don’t get used. Maybe Laguito uses a bit more frequently than other factories. I have seen those getting used at Laguito only in those factory tour videoes. But I am sure the staff is at their best behavior in those.
El Presidente Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 They do get used. They have to be. They receive a kickback from the rollers (as a collective) for letting things slide. Why wouldn't they? In a slight variation to the traditional Cuban maxim.... "Govt pretends to pay us and we pretend to care what the draw machine reading is"
