Have been watching a few different video tours of Laguito factory and that has really made me seek out Cohibas rolled in Laguito.

I saw that the factory has draw machines. Is that the norm in all of the factories or just Laguito?

I have pictures of draw machines from factories in Havana.

Mind you none of them are plugged in...

I'm sure those draw machines have an inch of dust on them just like boxes of Cohiba Panatelas.

I needed an iron lung to get any smoke the other day.

QC checks are largely up the floor manager. Did you see them using it? Id suspect if any factories do some QC el laguito would be the one. They also have ring gauge checkers that are clearly not used.

Not a guarantee, but given the choice, I always go for El Laguito rolled Cohiba. But I don’t think they use those machines that much. I’ve definitely had my fair share of overly tight Cohibas from that factory over the years, but less than other factories.

Who needs draw test machines when they are rolled on the thighs of virgins?😁

Thanks all. What I am hearing is while most factories have them, they don’t get used. Maybe Laguito uses a bit more frequently than other factories.

I have seen those getting used at Laguito only in those factory tour videoes. But I am sure the staff is at their best behavior in those.

They do get used. They have to be. They receive a kickback from the rollers (as a collective) for letting things slide.

Why wouldn't they?

In a slight variation to the traditional Cuban maxim....

"Govt pretends to pay us and we pretend to care what the draw machine reading is"
