Hate to say it but that might just be the real deal.

Certainly. It's very hard to fake aged cigars like that.

Begs the question why list on a website that sells fakes rather than Bond Roberts or another legitimate platform?

The box is most likely real. But the cigars? Not sure.

Now whoever buys it has a real problem. Provenance is that particular site!

Personally I might buy it to fill out my collection but wouldn't expect them to smoke well or be resold.

If they are fake…someone put some serious effort into that forgery.

Agreed, must be legit.

Some bands material again for ATGroom 😉

These guys mixing real and fake stuff up seems to be an established technique to promote confidence. I.e a low value bot or real Cano's sold with a collection of high value fake Cohibas.

I think it's just that that site is a repository for all manner of garbage and occasionally a genuine box might pop up. Most people wouldn't know that 99% of the cigars there are questionable to say the least. Someone's uncle dies and they have a box they want to put online. They may not want to deal with a serious site like BR and English is probably not their first language. Or maybe they did try BR and the box was rejected.

I've observed the site for many years, there are 100% sellers on there that have been busted many times, and I've observed how they have altered the way they sell. There are some people clearing out their grandads genuine possession for sure. But there are about 10 to 20 long term sellers on there who 100% know they are selling refilled vintage boxes, fakes you name it.

They surely weren't busted by the site. Clearly they aren't interested in policing anything. No doubt 99% of everything on there is garbage and the same sellers are the culprits. But that 1% still surfaces from time to time.

They were busted on that site, because I contacted the moderators to have stuff removed, many many years ago. To clarify there are many legit boxes on Todo, and I would say this box of Obsequios is 100% one of them. Everything about them passes the sniff test.

Were debating a different point now, whether Todo cares or not? (which they don't), and whether there is a hardcore of organised dodgy sellers using all sorts of techniques to pass on fakes and refilled boxes (which there is).
