REesq Posted June 27, 2024 Posted June 27, 2024 For better Champagnes I find 15-20 years to be the sweet spot. Since I prefer more full-bodied cigars, BCC being one of my favorites, I also tend toward a more full-bodied Champagne, typically with a higher percentage of pinot. A few months ago, to celebrate my son being in town, we had a patio dinner at the GHR in BH that started off with a 2008 Pol Roger Sir Winston Churchill, followed by some late 90s and early 00s Gajas. The Pol Roger with my R&J Churchill (how could you not pair the two) was drinking spectacularly and was a perfect match for the R&J.
