Popular Post El Presidente Posted June 19, 2024 Popular Post Posted June 19, 2024 Fabrica 5 factory team sent me these photos this morning for final go ahead to commence packaging. We are ontrack for late July 24 global distribution. Running a couple of weeks late which in this industry is a miracle. You are going to love these. Great flavour, reasonable price point (to be announced in a few weeks).......mission accomplished 30 5
JohnS Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 They look great. Thank you on behalf of all our members! 👍 3
Gamehawker Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 They look amazing and what a nice presentation 😍 What is the size of these cigars? And also what is the price going to be on them?
GerardMichaelTX Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Very well polished; exactly what I want to see in a banded cigar!
Puros Y Vino Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Clean and elegant design. The black paper box over the SLB is a nice touch. As is the notched SLB.
Shakey Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Looks amazing Rob, congratulations for nearing the finish line on a very large project. And thank you for talking about the release on the Zoom hangout last night.

Interestingly, foot band wasn't part of the initial design but was requested by distributors in order to dramatically cut down on transport damage. Makes sense. In the Cuban world, the cigars most likely to see shipping damage are the Bolivar Belicoso Finos and Partagas Serie P Number 2. 1 1

99call Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 I've changed my mind on foot bands. I originally though they were clown shoes. But as William Morris said, "Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.” You could argue they are both. There is a lot to like here (packaging wise) I do like the deep inky blue and gold. But I will never feel comfortable having paint or lacquers in my humidor. They always strike me as unessessary potential contaminants. Love the design on the glassine paper, this will get copied by many other companies. Let's be honest though it's all about the cigars, and they and the packaging are gorgeous. Hats off to all involved.

Ok, I'll buy that. But FOH, after the majority ranting and railing against multiple bands, owes it to itself to make one foot band (and nothing else) the standard. We could discuss the "ritual" or "tradition" of removing the foot band, and slipping it back on the other end. Variously thought to signify renewal, or symbolic crowning (hence "corona") - no one knows for sure. Enough posts on FOH, and it becomes at least apocryphal. Save the environment, reverse band inflation, and just for some laughs. What do you say?
