Popular Post JoeyBones777 Posted June 1, 2024 Popular Post Posted June 1, 2024 A 4 year old RASS was the cigar that gave me my aha moment with regard to aged CC. It so obviously had turned a corner compared to the fresher versions I smoked from the same box. There was an incredible smoothness to the retrohale and flavors, the sweetness in the cigar popped more and the flavors more clear. Ever since it has been one of my favorite cigars. This one is from my last boxI have. It is a psp. This particular box took 5 years to hit their sweet spot. At first light, I'm hit with a creamy smooth array of stewed stone fruit, light earth and a beautiful floral component on the fully smooth retrohale. There is that typical CC twang that lurks in the background like a creepy peeping Tom. It's not blatantly obvious but if you know it you can pick it out. This review is going to be fairly short because this cigar doesn't really transition. All the same delicious flavors from first light are present through the whole cigar with perfect performance! The earthiness creeps up a bit as it trucks along but never gets out of balance. This was a finger burner. Great cigar! Great expression of Cuban tobacco! Sweet, smooth and delicious from first light to tiny nub! I give it a 95. This is as high a score as RASS can get for me. It just isn't complex enough for a higher score but, man, is it good! 11
Sandman Posted June 2, 2024 Posted June 2, 2024 I have a box from 2019 that smokes like you describe. Delicious cigars 1
amberleaf Posted June 2, 2024 Posted June 2, 2024 I've gone through many boxes of RASS over the years but a UTL JUL 19 box was the best I've ever had. 1
