Popular Post JoeyBones777 Posted May 31, 2024 Popular Post Posted May 31, 2024 Warped has been a brand that intrigues me and I find myself trying different cigars in their catalog often. Most have been good but, for me, few have been great. This particular cigar is among my favorites. The blend, the price point and the presentation all hit. It is a medium body blend that gives a nice mix of sweet and savory. There is a a nice wrapper sweetness that is tough to put a flavor on because it is integrated so well into all the other flavors of roasted nuts, oak, cinnamon, coffee and earth/leather. The retrohale is almost completely smooth with very little tingle, if any, and brings out a slight floral note to the sweetness that makes me think vanilla honey but not quite because it is also somewhat toasty like a honey Graham.🤷♂️ Regardless, it is lovely. I'm trying not to smoke it too fast because I notice the earthy note tends to get a bit gritty when it gets too hot. When I take my time I've noticed a creaminess in both texture and a little in flavor that comes in and out. It is not very transitional but, who cares, it is complex enough and delicious right out the gate. All things considered, this is my favorite Warped cigar and among my favorite NC pc. In the states, you can pick these up in your local shop around the $7-8 range depending on your state government and how egregious they are with their theft, I mean, taxes. Online shoppers can probably score a cab of 50 for under $300.🤯 This is a solid 92 for me. I had a medium roast black coffee with this which, obviously, affected the flavors some but it is such a great pairing. For those who have had this cigar, how do you feel about it? Do I just sound like a Warped rep or did you have a similar experience with it as I did? 8
Rupe Posted June 1, 2024 Posted June 1, 2024 I agree with you 100%. This is one of my favorite NC cigars! 2
GVan Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 Good review - I have a little less than 100 of the Cloud Hoppers left in my collection that are now over 2 years old and in the "Ready Now" section of my Humi. They have about the same place in my smoking rotation as the Spada Gorda, Ninfa and RGP. As they age, the floral quality and very slight sweetness becomes more prominent - just as you would expect with a CC. If you're starting to get into the Warped scene you should try one of the Warped La Hacienda Superiores. I bought my first box at a B&M clearance for $60 dollars on a whim in 2022. I let them rest for about 120 days prior to trying one. Hit many of the Warped tasting notes that I like and immediately bought two more boxes for unfortunately considerably more (wish I'd trusted Kyle and bought more at that clearance price). I have the remaining boxes aging away and expect them to get even better by year 3 to 5. 1
