A couple of weeks before my eclipse Texas/BR Miami trips, I gave in and bought 1 size up jeans. Two weeks later, they’re tight just like the old ones! 😡

Must be something wrong with the manufacturing. I’ll be signing up for the 2025 FatBastard competition.😔

Yes they are now back, but they are not as baggy as 90s hip hop baggy jeans. I am glad that skinny low rise pants are going out of fashion.

Baggy fit, no.  Skinny fit, no.  Classic fit, yes!

I bought a couple new pairs of pre-washed jeans last year in different shades of blue. I had to throw one pair away already since they've already got holes in them, and I don't do any manual labor. I decided this year to buy standard Levi jeans, no stone wash, no different colors.  Just classic blue jeans. I'm very happy with that decision so far. Reminds me of the old days of board-stiff jeans that needed a few wears and washes to soften up a little. They're not quite as stiff as new jeans were in the 70s but they've got some oomph. Hoping to get a few years out of them.

Living here at the beach with this climate, I have no use for jeans at all anymore. I literally wear a pair of cargo shorts 365 days a year. Even riding my Goldwing. I have a few pairs of normal fit jeans, but they just sit in the dresser and "collect dust".

Yes, I should clarify that these "baggy fit" jeans are much closer to what I would regard as classic fit. I think jeans got so tight that now baggy is anything that doesn't cut the circulation off at the ankles. :D

501s are back in style, but they're not making 555s again.

Classics never fade.

I remember asking a good female friend (who was a fan of skinny jean) what the protocol was if she engaged passions of the flesh with a lad who was also donning the skinny jean? She confirmed that it did lead to pathetic tripping over into closets, accidental kicks to the face, and basically undressing each other like skinning rabbit carcasses.

It's a terrible look on men, always was, always will be, and I'm glad it's once again consigned to the dustbin of fashion for at least another 30years...if not forever.
