Some 2022-2023 boxes has been smoking mighty fine, let's share the marcas!

Consistent with the general consensus here, I find that some 2022-2023 marcas has been smoking mighty fine with just slightly more than one year age on it. Some are really good I actually favor the newer boxes compared to the older boxes. Here is the list according to my own experiences.

- Smoking Mighty Fine: RASS, BBF, Monte PE, Trinidad Reyes, HDM Epi2, Partagas Lusitania. RASS deserves a special mention here as I couldn't believe how fine my 2023 boxes are smoking right now, definitely rivaling some of my older boxes and I am hoarding it. 

- Smoking OK: Cohiba Robusto, Partagas D4, Upmann Connie B, HDM PR.

- Needing more age: RyJ PR, Punch Short De Punch, PLPC, Bolivar Petit Corona, Monte Edmundo, Monte No.2.

 

Ladies and Gentlemen, let's continue the list....

Punch Double Corona are smoking wonderfully.

Hoyo San Juan tend to have light draws.

ERDM are smoking well if dark in appearance. 

D4 lost its character but E2 has gained alot in recent years.

D4 is the most consistent cigar I see coming out of Cuba today. 

HDM Epicure 2 are stellar. 

Monte 2 continues to suprise on the upside. 

P2 are not far behind. 

Punch Punch are magnificent.

QDCC has been surprisingly good, fantastic even during 22'-23'. I've been through a few boxes already and they are consistent in both flavor and construction. All boxes have been from the Partagas factory. It's a shame these are rarely seen from online vendors.

Punch Punch, D#4, BRC, Connie #2, RASS, Famosos, Siglo 5 have all been very good/consistent lately as well.

I’ve had amazing D4s, RASS and RASCCs, and Reyes. D4s for me are by far my favorite go-to right now…that sourdough note is so powerful.

My two favourite boxes from that timeframe are both Monte 2’s. Doubt age will improve them much / at all.

I need a resupply as well, think I'm down to 4 or so from a 2021 box. It has been absolutely fabulous.

I need to reassess my 2023 Monte 2. The last one I tried wasn't ready at all.

I smoked recent production RyJ Short Churchill, Boli BBF and PC, and Cohiba Siglo I on vacation. All were fantastic.

Recent production RG perlas. Monte Wide Edmundo. Monte 4. RYJ Petit Royales. HUHC. To name a few.

I have had some RG Corona de Lonsdales (2023). They're pretty good.

The RG CDL I've smoked seem really closed. I'm gonna sit on them for a couple years.

The PL Galanes I've smoked were all wonderful cigars.

Every single box I’ve bought from our host with a '23 code has smoked tremendously ROTT even pre-90 day lay down.

BBF, PLPC, Punch 48, RASS, JL2, Boli PC, RASCC, Connie 1, RG Corona Lonsdales 

Sole exceptions were Monty 4 which came good after a year (and may have been a 22 box code need to check) and Fonseca Cosacos which are a whole bunch of nothing but that could just be the cigar itself. 

EDIT: This thread made me bust out another Foneseca Cosacos btw and I'm getting a lot more from it tonight, mainly tea and mild sourdough. Pleasant.
