Just double checking these are shipping from the US at the moment, even when you purchase on the Aussie side of the page correct?

All Desnudo/Nudies/MOFOH ship from the US

I haven't been this excited for Non-Cubans in a long long time. The nudies/mofohs are now my go to sticks 95% of the time.

Anyone try these yet after a rest?

Yes, extremely good. Not as strong as the PC & Carlotta. Strong baked goods and cocoa notes come through for me with maybe a hint of dark berry/fruit. I really do not like the piramide vitolas at all as I normally punch all my cigars, but these will be in my regular rotation.

I just tried my first Piramide after only 8 days rest since receiving. I must say, it was a complete wind tunnel on the draw, not even a bit of resistance. I also found it tasted very little like anything Ramón Allones as described on the site. It was extremely mild-medium and tasted very much like a Padrón Dámaso or similar Connecticut shade blends with a Nicaraguan influence. The final third started to show signs of that kind of pencil shavings taste which I find common to a lot of low quality Connecticut shade cigars. To me it was crying out for at least some extra richness, cream and sweetness like the Carlota has in spades. I'm letting the rest sit for 2 months before I try another. I'm sure they will improve, but I still feel, personally, that they need a little bit more richness and cream in the blend.

Has anyone else had the completely open draw issue with these? I'm no fan of firm draws (I even feel the Carlotas I've tried could be slightly easier!) but this was really like drawing through a big straw. Just a little bit of gentle resistance might have let the flavours shine a bit more.

Yep, I clipped very little off on the last one I smoked. It makes a difference. I just smoked one a couple nights ago and it was very nice. Light/Medium but some earthiness that balanced well. I really enjoyed it. Mine have been resting about 120 days.

Yeah, I'll start extremely small with cutting the next one, although that should never be necessary and the draw should be controlled by the bunching rather than trying to restrict it at the cap end only. It just surprised me since Hamlet and Rob know their stuff and every other Desnudo and MOFOH I've had has had a beautifully constructed draw, and this was the most wind-tunnel cigar I've actually ever come across part from the occasional extra loose Padrón. The Carlotas I find a little bit overly tight, though they still produce the flavours. The last Lancero I tried was immaculate on the draw and extremely impressive. Some of the very best constructed Lanceros I've ever had. I wonder if the Carlota needs the tight draw due to the nature of the blend or something? I still feel they could be eased up just a touch though.

Anyway, hopefully I get more richness out of the other piramides after a good rest and I'll report back. I was going to review it but I decided not to in case it was a very poor example and I should also give them some time to see if they have some big transformations. Currently, of all the ones I've so far tried, the Carlota still holds the top spot just for that richness and depth of flavour and sweetness, often a good 94 pointer. The MOFOH Trinity and the Lancero are about joint second for me at the moment, then the Cañonazo in third. I'm hoping with more ageing I'll find some that can push the 95 or even 96 point mark, but for me that would require just a bit more depth of cream and sweetness along with the other complexities.

I do find the ash on almost every Desnudo or MOFOH to be extremely weak, often falling off at half an inch without knocking it. Is this just the nature of the leaves used? Not really a complaint, though a firmer holding ash is always a bonus. More of a curiosity though, as I've often wondered what results in a cigar's ash holding strong compared to easily breaking off. Dryness/oil content? Something in the way it's constructed? Apologies for wandering a little off topic.

For me a Ramon Allones profile in a Piramide is spot on!

I had an RA earlier today to mark the occasion of the sale and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of our mountain home one last time. This evening I thought I’d try my first N2 piramide as they finished resting for 30 days. I was blown away by how similar it was to the RA I had earlier! I had to check the description on the site because I couldn’t remember what profile these were supposed to imitate and sure enough it was the Ramone Allones!!

The draw didn’t bother me at all, was just right although less restrictive than some of the other nudies I’ve had but not a wind tunnel. The bundle of Queen coronas have all been pretty tight. The Spada Gordas, Canonazos and Trinity Robustos have all been fine.

Definitely will be ordering a bundle of these soon since this was a 5 pack trial!
