The Shakespeare Cigar brand and "Mr Havana Cigar"

Would love to know more about Ralph Shuyler Williams.  It looks as though from his adverts that he made a particular play in 1961 and bought a large amount of "vintage" Cuban tobacco in and around the embargo, and was sort of making clear havanas after the event if you like.   I've seen other boxes, that look like they ended up getting rolled in the Canaries. 

I have the feeling the title "Mr Havana Cigar" was self-bestowed.
