1996 Cohiba Guayasamin humidor release (wishlist)

2009 Cohiba Gran Reserva VI

Had 2 samples smoked one 6 months after release, smoked the other 2 years later. Best cigars I’ve ever had. Evolved the whole cigar, constantly. Best retrohale flavors I’ve ever had.

I have a recurring dream. Not that one Di, the other one  12 friends doing a tasting of two cigars that I have only tried a few times in my life.  1. Montecristo Double Corona Edicion Limita

Hope I'm not spoiling the fun but oddly enough, I don't dream of a specific marca or limited edition unobtainium smoke but rather a cigar from my past that, if I had a Time Machine, I'd go back and sm

COHIBA 50/55 - What's all the hype?

2009: Cohiba Siglo VI Gran Reserva

Actually I've never had any of the GR's and will be hunting for a few sticks in the UK in the coming months. Sahakian Lounge?

Although not answering the question, I'm surprised to see how many people said the Siglo 6 GR. I may have to crack my box then. But knowing the price per stick now it's rather hard!

They were absolutely phenomenal. The best version of a Siglo VI that you will ever smoke. So they were my favorite version of my favorite cigar.

That said, the only reason I didn't list it as one of mine, is that if you smoke enough Siglo 6's, every once in a while you are going to smoke one that is comparable. So I basically chose cigars that are pretty much gone for good.

No 6 Cavendish would be my recommendation. They sell almost everything in singles and have a selection that is up there with the best I’ve seen.

I had an R&J Exhibición No.2 (2000) a massive 49 rg x 194 mm Double Corona, I think that's the best cigar I've ever had. It lasted 2.5 hours and I couldn't even finish it, just full on from the start to the end. Want another one, but also made me think what other aged R&Js are out there.

I managed to score some Cuban Davidoffs a few years ago and therefore scratched that itch. It was the best "Cohiba" I've tried.

The bucket list contains BHK 54/56 from 2010/2011 but also a Cohiba 1966.

Indeed the best cigar I smoked during Chinese New Year break. Probably the best cigar I smoked this year. Hard to top one that’s aged for 20 years.

Is that a Fundadores? Looks huge

Yeah try the Sahakian lounge/Davidoff shop, Ajay as mentioned (no6 Cavendish), JJFox couple of very nice sections in the new humidor, Cgars, Sautters. All have interesting inventory. I'd give them a call well in advance.

This is a fun and helpful thread. I’m glad I searched to the 70th page vs starting a similar thread.

My holy grail cigar was a gifted Lusitania this spring the night before a runoff election for an incumbent state legislator for whom I worked. The entire local campaign team and official staff were in a rundown, outdoor smoking area of a business traveler-store hotel. It was 98 degrees in a bayou area with the worst humidity I’ve ever seen, so everyone was drenched in sweat and mosquitos were everywhere. Many of the staff members were buzzed or happily drunk so the mood was nostalgic and upbeat. The team reminisced about the insanity of the campaign, the time and hours spent working for the candidate, and thinking about consequences of the election because we knew for many it could be the last time we saw one another if we lost.

Fortunately, we won (by less than 500 votes), and I’ve been chasing that since!

Also: if anyone would like to let me try a Diplomaticos Bushido or Vegas Robaina Clasico, I can give them a campaign yard sign.
