NSXCIGAR Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 This already came up in another thread. Everything looks legit on this box (which doesn't mean it's authentic) but the points of controversy were 1) there are UV markings on the bands that CCW had noted as not appearing until 2016. The CCW entry has now been corrected to reflect that the UV markings were in fact present on Cohiba bands starting with the 2014 RS and 2) the "buyer" supposedly recently purchased that box leading to the conclusion that there were cigars being recently released by HSA with 2014 box dates, or as this video calls it "new old stock". There's no evidence that is actually happening and the more likely scenario is that the vendor just had a 2014 box available. This of course assumes the box is genuine which in today's climate there may literally be no way to know by physical inspection. It isn't unreasonable to assume that the best fakes being produced right now are physically perfect in every way and a box like the RS is a prime candidate for a perfect fake. 2
gerardow2 Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Thanks for sharing the video, I was aware of most of the inspection points except the duplicates serial number in the seal.

Thanks for the explanation, I hope that the guy that owned the box didn't throw it away because of misinformation..
