Popular Post JohnS Posted January 14 Popular Post Posted January 14 According to Cuban Cigar Website, the La Casa Del Habano Exclusivo El Rey del Mundo Royal Series is a recent LCDH addition to the El Rey del Mundo marca that was launched in Cyprus in late 2023. It may not yet be widely available. At least Habanos S.A. has given us an official video (above). The cigar is a 50 ring gauge x 155 millimetres (or 6⅛ inches) in length Dobles. In other words, the same size as a Montecristo Double Edmundo. 8 2
BigGuns Posted January 14 Posted January 14 These videos are something else. Definitely interested in the cigars, but the production, the CGI…incredible 2
ha_banos Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Given the fancy humidor I'll put these in the 60-70£ per stick range. 1
JohnS Posted August 18 Author Posted August 18 Usman Dawood at Cigar Inspector did a review on this cigar this month and he labelled it as the 'best LCDH cigar of 2024'. The review can be found here. The question is...has anyone had a chance to smoke this release to support or counter this opinion? 1
loose_axle Posted August 18 Posted August 18 It’s the only review I’ve seen out there. The one or two people I know who’ve grabbed a box are waiting a few months before they open to try. 1

Oh and this bloke said he was very impressed with it during his unboxing video. I love the size and I love ERDM so thinking about grabbing a box for Christmas. 2
JohnS Posted August 19 Author Posted August 19 That's Laurent. He's from Switzerland and he has a Habano News channel on YouTube and Instagram. Well worth following, in my opinion. 1 1

The only exception on a spree of exceptional recent LCDHs (IMHO). 3

Recent(ish) example CoRo a couple years ago hit £99 each. Now around £60. So it does pay to shop around the retailers over here if you're so inclined. Also some retailers have different online and in-store prices and availability. 1

Thanks! 'Back in the day', when I was still shopping UK-side (specials) on occasion, pricing seemed quite uniform to me. So that's why I thought... 2

Taste off or something else? And is it something age would play a part in remedying? Have you tried the recent LGC, RyJ and Montecristo LCDH's? I'm curious about those as well. 1

Have you tried the recent LGC, RyJ and Montecristo LCDH's? I'm curious about those as well. It was quite mild to me, nothing special flavor-wise. Not a bad smoke but not as fancy as what I expected. I tried the Novedosos, Aliados & LGC Glorias. I found them all great at different levels (Novedosos being the best & Aliados with most aging potential). I haven’t tried the JL selection especial or Montecristo Herderos, I am hearing great opinions on both. I Decided to pass the RyJ due to the combination of price, unfavorable size & bad history with the marca. 4
loose_axle Posted August 19 Posted August 19 Thank you very much. I've tried the JL Selection Especial and I can confirm that it is an excellent cigar. I've also heard great things about the Montecristo Herederos but haven't seen it anywhere though. I love RyJs when they're good, so hoping to try one and see if it lives up to that. 2
Perla Posted August 19 Posted August 19 Had the chance to buy them in March. Cigars looked awesome but the humidor looks awful for me, so I didn’t pull the trigger. If they were selling without the chichi I would be tempted. 2
