Cuban Round Review Weekend:

You all know I wouldn’t leave this alone. Available at the local drugstore. 3 packs of Robustos for $9.00. You’ll never see bargains on 24/24 like this!!!

Cold draw is exactly that. Cold. Opening flavors are that of newspaper. Not the cheap flyer that you get at the local supermarket. NY Times stuff, from the 80’s, when the Sunday edition weighed 5#. Quality paper. This opens up to a wax and paper flavor. Maybe a hint of pepper. I cannot fault anyone for false advertising, as this reminds me of Havana. Soggy copies of Granma left on the street and a healthy dose of leaded gasoline burned through a Russian tractor engine, The flavor is unique.

The 2nd 3rd transitions into a soapy/wax paper flavor. Again, not cheap Super 8 soap, but floral soap you’d expect at the finer hotels in central Congo. Excellent burn, razor sharp.

I only was able to make it thru the half. If anyone ever says “I smoked a few cigars and I don’t like them” you now know why.

To clear my palate, I broke into my dried, smoked and salted fish fillets. After the cigar, I found the fish to have a candy/caramel flavor, with notes of cinnamon and citrus.

If he’d of packed them with some great weed maybe the smile would have been a little easier.....and you’d know how much the wrapper contributes to the flavor👻
