Doctorossi Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 This looks like a job for... Tatuaje Reserva J21! 2
Popular Post Cigar Surgeon Posted December 20, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 20, 2023 For fuller bodied, medium strength the ideal three NC choices would be Tatuaje, Foundation, and DT&T (Steve Saka). The majority of what they blend sits in the medium strength position with medium full to full complexity. Last year Tatuaje released banger after banger and this year DT&T put out the PapaSaka Mi Querida which might be exactly what OP is looking for. 7
Edicion Posted January 30, 2024 Posted January 30, 2024 On 12/20/2023 at 10:07 PM, nKostyan said: HU Magnum 46 - is light to medium cigar… therefore, it is not very clear what he means. In my perception examples of Cuban cigars examples: - full bodied is Partagas Maduro. - complex is Partagas Serie E2. If we understand body and complexity as generally accepted definitions in the cigar world, then I would recommend as complex NC up to $ 13 per stick: Oliva Melanio Robusto As a full bodied up to $ 13 per stick: LFD La Nox I'm in agreement with everything here @nKostyan. Oliva Serie V Belicoso is another example that's (to me at least) full bodied, complex, balanced and tastes good. The flavor profile might not suit everyone, but it won't disappoint either. 2
Li Bai Posted January 30, 2024 Posted January 30, 2024 Hi everybody ! I've been facing the same challenge here in France and unfortunately most of the brands you guys talk about are hard or impossible to find. Yet, I found some sticks that could fit your request, to my surprise for some of them. You might want to try Nicarao cigars, any one of them (maybe the robusto to begin with) or the Condega lancero serie F (and the lancero only, because its blend only suits slim ring gauge imho). This lancero in particular really caught me off guard, if I had been blind tasting I would have guessed it was Cuban, at least the first third! Great value for money, 95 euros for a 10 box here. It's a shame my palate is clearly Cuban but there are really good cheaper cigars from DR like La Aurora (never been disappointed with this brand) and Nicaragua in particular (it's just my take of course) you don't get what a good CC can offer but lots of character nevertheless. Hope this helps !! 2
Russell Posted January 30, 2024 Posted January 30, 2024 My most recent was a tatuaje 20th, grand merveille. Definitely worthy to add into the rotation 2
Çnote Posted January 31, 2024 Posted January 31, 2024 This doesn't exactly fit, but I think everyone looking at CC-like-NC should try: La Aurora Family Reserva Leon G It's a little more mid plus. @NSXCIGAR try this. For straight on complex and full as asked, PapaSaka as suggested by@Cigar Surgeon. LFD Cabinet #6 (or #5, but really #6) would hit the mark as well, at least for me. 2
Kaips1 Posted January 31, 2024 Posted January 31, 2024 I tend to lean towards eiroa stuff, like the asylum 13 oblongata maduro, cle prieto 440 and aladino corojo reserve. I find I like a good aged Maduro wrapper.
Gamehawker Posted January 31, 2024 Posted January 31, 2024 I have not smoke one in awhile but I always thought that the Ashton Virgin Sun Grown "VSG" cigars were a very full bodied NC cigar that was balanced and complex. 2
