I had a number of people reach out through DMs to ask why Coop didn't do a Top 25 CA show last year.  It was largely due to the unexpected shift in timing which made preparing for the earliest release date of the list impossible.

I've been voluntold onto this panel this year, and while I don't think I'm going to be able to offer anything profound to the great guest list I will do my best to at least be entertaining.

The show will air Tuesday December 12th at 9:15pm EST.

The live stream is available on the Cigar Coop Facebook page or on the Prime Time page: https://cigar-coop.com/live

Hit a couple here, the miss on the Prensado is entirely on my shoulders as I had removed them from the master list due to their appearance at CoTY previously.  Hector did say on the broadcast he felt AB would be the STG representation, although none of us expected these 3 this high.

The ramifications are that one of the two Habanos spots in the top 10 will now get squeezed out and it compresses the legacy brands into the remaining 1-7 spots: Padron, Fuente, Oliva, Altadis, EPC, Rocky and potentially my My Father pick gets bumped because La Aroma has arrived at 9.

So, AF work of art should be No. 1

That's the assumption we're operating under.  It could possibly be the Don Carlos but at this point the Work of Art seems like the Stone Cold Lock of the Year.

I have one work of art and one untold story in the humi. I will smoke them in about 6 months. Let's hope that these two will do it for me.

I just topped up my humidor with more Arturo Fuente Hemingway Work of Art cigars. (They are) So good and so easy to smoke! 👌

In a move that shocks absolutely no one who has been paying attention:

Fuente Fuente OpusX Reserva d’Chateau. #1

An oversight on the panel since it scored 94 and lines up with CAs history of picking impossible to buy cigars at #1.

Opus X were so unique and good when they debuted in the mid 1990s. They’ve either lost a lot of that magic or my palette has become inured to their flavor.
