Also smoked a turkey. Had 2 of my smokers going. Everyone was raving about the turkey until the ribs showed up. They were like WTH Papa John. You never said you had ribs. 
 

I said next time pay attention. I thought surely with 4 smokers side by side on my patio someone would notice two stacks wisping smoke. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Deep fried turkey is the best. Love the food since some of it is only made for Thanksgiving.

I can't post. We we're blasphemous this year and made 3 pizzas and a salad. My 5 year old has a thing for them and is ridiculously picky so we chose something he would eat.

Dough: My pie was a 4 day sour dough fermentation 

Base: olive oil, garlic and chopped basil.

Cheese: sparse mozzarella and Parmigiano-Reggiano mix.

Toppings: spinach, grape tomato halves and whole clams.

Wife had pepperoni, and son had cheese with canned tomato base, and mozzarella cheddar mix.... philistines.

Great day at my brother's house, cooked a local duck along with some guinea hen and squab. He has an indoor hearth so I figured the duck would be perfect to test it out. Turned out wonderfully. Finished the night with a H.Upmann Royal Robusto.

Thanks! Yeah, well...it's one of those things where Apple image formats (like .heic) don't always translate well when uploaded to public forums. It's just a matter of converting the file to a .jpg (or similar). Sure, sometimes that's easier said than done, especially when pressed for time, so we're happy to assist in this area when needed.

Small gathering this year at V casa with my sister and her family.  Turkey roasted on the smoker, sour cream and roasted garlic mashed potatoes, sausage, sage, and mushroom stuffing, green beans, broccoli casserole, corn mac and cheese, sweet potato casserole, salad, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, and cinnamon apple cake.

Enjoying some leftover homemade pumpkin pie.  My daughter has to put birthday candles in everything now.  Unfortunately, the weather is shite so I haven't smoked anything recently.

My family has always been difficult and thanksgiving isn’t a thing here, but the US is part of my youth. So I can’t help be aware.

I’m blessed to have the greatest father you could imagine. He’s everything then some. And the cutest blonde son. And a gorgeous little daughter in waiting. And the most compassionate wife. Life’s a dream lads. Some day I’ll wake up, but I hope not soon. 

Anyway, today is just a typical Friday here - me and the little man went shopping after work. We cooked chicken and beef (my wife is diabetic so we cook at home a lot) and it was so much fun. It always is. Once the others were asleep, I snared three pints and an M2 with a pal.

Who needs a holiday when I have this every weekend.

Had a wonderful meal with the family.  The topper for me is always my wife’s homemade Ghirardelli chocolate pie, followed closely by her homemade pumpkin.  

To finish off the holiday, a couple lovely packages showed up today for Black Friday.
