El Presidente Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 Your favourite two comedians? The ones that you keep going back to when you need a good chuckle What is great about YouTube is being able to search through some classics.
El Presidente Posted November 15, 2023 Author Posted November 15, 2023 I have two that I love. Bill Burr and Richard Pryor. Both crack me up every time 1
treberty Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 Chapelle and Seinfeld Sebastian Maniascalco, Jim Jefferies and Sarah Silverman are hilarious as well.
MrBirdman Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 George Carlin is at the top of the mountain for me. He’s the Beethoven of stand up: everyone who has come after performs in his shadow. A few nights ago I was listening to some sections from Jammin' in New York, his greatest album. The material is as fresh, funny, and relevant as it was 30 years ago. It’s simply a masterpiece. You can usually find the HBO special on either YouTube or Dailymotion. If there's any voice we're sorely missing in the modern world, it's Carlin's. Choosing number two is much harder - Chapelle has begun to take himself far too seriously for me. Killing Them Softly is still his best album, and I don't find him that funny anymore (even if he can be an incisive social commentator). I was a very big fan of Patrice O'Neal, who I'd nominate as my #2. He passed away at a young age in 2011, a big loss for comedy because he was only getting better. 2
Puros Y Vino Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 Carlin and Pryor for me. Both were brilliant and fearless. Especially Pryor. You don't screw with him. He could trade verbal blows with the best of them. 1
JohnnyO Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 Rich Little Rodney Dangerfield I find Carlin too negative, Debbie Downer kinda wannabe 1
Ford2112 Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 Steve Martin Norm Macdonald Honorable mention to Patrice ONeal 1
Cigarsmoker81 Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 Eddie Murphy: I rewatch delirious every few months and it still cracks me up Seinfeld

BrightonCorgi Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 Joan Rivers Andrew Dice Clay Jackie Mason
Stevieboy Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 I'm surprised no-one has mentioned Bill Hicks so far. Love himMy other favourite is Spike MilliganSent from my SM-S908B using Tapatalk 1
MagicalBikeRide Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 Currently Kevin Bridges. Used to love Frankie Boyle in his early days of touring / Mock The Week. 1
Chas.Alpha Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 Sam Kinison and Chris Rock. That is all you would ever need to know about me. 1
Chibearsv Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 Dice is a great character I agree too much with Bill Burr so I don’t know if he’s mocking me or echoing me 😁 There aren’t many comedians I don’t like. I could always use a good laugh.
MoeFOH Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 More modern times... Dave Chapelle & Louis CK Louis before he got cancelled was really in a league of his own. The return of Dave Chapelle and the body of work he produced in his Netflix series put him top of the pile for me. Richard Pryor is the GOAT. 2
