For those ( like me ) who enjoy watching tv shows while smoking cigars what shows do you recommend I see next ? I like to watch shows that are “ easy “ and don’t require 100% attention all the time when I smoke. I’ve got major streaming services ( Netflix Disney Amazon apple hbo )

any and all recommendations are welcome

Fauda is a great series and quite relevant with world events of recent.  May require some attention to watch, but worth it.

I introduced my wife to Gogglebox and she's watching it all the time now.

If you haven't already, watching the short, recent TV series on David Beckham on Netflix is well worth your time, in my view. And, you don't have to be a fan of football to appreciate. There are four episodes that last around 70 minutes each. So, that should be good for lighting up four robustos-sized cigars!

P.S. There's another four-part TV series on Robbie Williams that was just released on Netflix this week. Those episodes last around 55 minutes each. So, that's good for 4 petit robustos-sized cigars!

I’m a bit twisted but I thought The Boys was a fun watch without being too deep. It’s a potpourri of sex, violence, drugs, etc

*When I had to get admitted to the hospital earlier in the year (I didn't take my doctor's orders seriously to take my Potassium tablets - boy did I find out! I had no idea Potassium was THAT important to the body!) I got hooked on the comedy series, "Everybody Loves Raymond." Boy that's a funny and great comedy series!  It really grows on you :)

Obviously tastes vary but here are a few that I’ve enjoyed, many while smoking.  Some require more attention than others but it’s not that hard when you’re sitting in a chair smoking 😉

No particular order:

the Star Wars series (Mandalorian,etc)

Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul

Succession

Jack Ryan

Stranger Things

Sopranos

Ozark

Outer Banks

Yellowstone

Justified

Any questions about these just ask

I have not seen the Robbie Williams series but the Beckham series stood out simply for all the high-profile people that were willing to be interviewed. That in itself I found interesting. Beckham himself is refreshingly modest at times, even self-deprecating. He admits his obsessive-compulsive tendencies, for example. Beckham's conflicts with Sir Alex Ferguson and Landon Donovan are also treated quite well, in my view.

Some very good shows mentioned here.  Currently we are watching Joe Pickett, Bass Reeves, Gilded Age, Mayor of Kingstown and Irrational.

The Beckham series was great.  EPL was not well shown on TV in the 90's so watching his older games brought back memories.  I was like "oh ya, forgot about that..."

I see his son Brooklyn cooking all the time on the Daily Mail and wondered where/how he got into food.  His dad is a big foodie, so it all makes sense now...

There is an excellent series on Apple TV called 1971.  It explores the turbulent era and the explosion of musical genius. Very comprehensive and goes from Sly and the family stone to Marvin Gaye to the Stones and everything in between. I think it is 8 episodes.

The Offer is a must watch. It's a series on the production of The Godfather. I had no idea of the backstory - controversial novel that became the movie, mob involvement, Gulf & Western, etc. Very entertaining.

Fleabag - on Amazon Prime and absolutely hilarious. Probably too filthy for a family show, but a great watch with significant other as the primary character is a woman.

Slow Horses - HBO Max. Gary Oldman. Nuff said.

The Last of Us - HBO Max, zombie apocalypse show based on one of the best selling video games. Pedro Pascal. Great show.

White Lotus - HBO Max, comedy. Must watch. 2 seasons out, third in production.

Station Eleven - Forget which streaming service. Another zombie-esque series. Very cerebral and very well done. Didn't get as much hype given Last of Us sort of stole the show, but arguable as good if not better.

**Unfortunately each of these series require attention as the acting is great, the scripts nuanced or the plot nonobvious.

I watched white lotus and loved it !
Fleabag is on my list but will check out the others! Thx for the recommendations

Bob's Burgers is the soundtrack of my house lately.  Loren Bouchard has been inspiring lethargy and skepticism for decades and BB is another stellar program.  It's actually better if you don't pay attention when you watch.

I've been checking out BrawnGP on Hulu and Formula 1: Drive to Survive on Netflix.  Gotta buff up on my terminology before Vegas baby.  Man, you'd almost think formula 1 was owned by a production company or something. These will require attention, watch while driving.

Tacoma FD on HBO/Max  funny broken lizard show that requires only as much attention span as it took to write.  It's a Bro-Hiem Dude Bro comedy fest.

If you speak Australian or have a tv in their time zone, you should check out Kath and Kim. It's pretty ridiculous and very clever.

Lego Wars baby.  First seasons were better than current.

Awkwafina is Nora from Queens - on Netflix. This chick is funny, and it's a darn good show. Family friendly message too, but with some fairly explicit vajajay and weed discussions/scenes. You might end up wanting to pay attention.

Watch a cooking show/contest like top chef(or the equivalent for your hobby of choice)...those are good for mindless non-attentive watching.

Maybe watch Chive TV or TickTock?  Chive TV has continuous footage of user provided shots-to-the-nuts, puppies, and go-pro action shots. Tick Tock seems to have a lot of nickleback and semaphore themed dancing....IDK.

Reservoir Dogs on Netflix - also great, until the plot switched and started focusing on middle aged divorcees wanting to get some tinder-dingle.

If you haven't seen Ted Lasso - it was good.

The BBC sherlock series with Cumberbatch is a quick 3ish seasons.  With real British accents.

Top Gun on laser disc followed by Top Gun on Betamax.

But, the ultimate recommendations for mindless television IMO are.....Family Feud (excluding the J. Peterman host years); Let's Make a Deal (Tiffany Coin may I please drink your shoe sweat)  and the Price is Right (Barker or Drew hosting). The shows never piss me off, everyone can play, everyone is having fun, great "people-of-walmart" crowd watching , sometimes there's hot chicks on stage, there's always a spay and neuter public service announcement, and now the game-shows are on prime-time! I prefer to watch during the day when I should be working though.  One of the best price is right episodes I have ever seen was the recent one where they let little kids play as the contestants. Hilarious.

I thought Andor was awesome but, you'll have to pay attention to it. Episode 1,2 are slower than stop but it gets good quick after thatg.  Mando...this is the way. Let us rejoice.  Ohsaka - kinda slow so far.

And they say we don't support the arts anymore.

We watched the Night Manager on Prime last week. Loved it but then I’m a sucker for Le Carre’.
