porkchop Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 Apologize if this has been done - has anyone put together a master sheet of the increases for different sticks? Would be interesting to see the percentages and compare to everything else.
BrightonCorgi Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 The whole set looks fantastic. Very well done as a collection. I'll start watching for that ashtray on eBay six months from now. 3

Several cigar sites regularly post press releases when manufacturers announce Price increases. Maybe you could reverse engineer something, but it would probably take a lot of work. Spoiler alert....i think the trend goes up and to the right. There might also be a list of wholesale prices for individual cigar lines available through whatever government agency regulates tobacco prices (which sounds like a horrible way to spend a lot of time). 1
Fuzz Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 The same company that made the Davidoff YotD ashtray, also made this... 1

Would be interesting to see the percentages and compare to everything else. Some folks took screen shots of the 24:24 for a loooooong time. Would be extremely interesting (yeah, right, more like extremely depressing) to see the change in prices from 2018-2023 (five year period). 1
MrBirdman Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Davidoff is probably unique among NC right now in being able to appeal to the market in Asia, where these kinds of prices just make the good more desirable. Still a bargain compared to large Cohiba with the added benefit of real QC and an interesting twist (the first inch or so doesn’t have a wrapper, so you can try the blend first and then experience the impact of the wrapper.) Plus the series as a whole is typically pretty good. In fact every Davidoff LE I’ve tried in the past few years has been either very good or excellent. Can’t say that about Cohiba or Trini - though I did have a baller Reyes this morning. Bittersweet! 4
pohlmad Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 I’m a big fan of the Davidoff Year of the… LE’s. Quality cigars, nice presentation, and quality accessories. They are expensive but they aren’t junk like some of the other Year of the… releases. 3
Cigar-Therapy Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 I was born in a year of the dragon. Very tempted.
