higgledy Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 This might seem like a silly post, IDK. Last week I visited my local B&M and was poking through the empty boxes for sale. Most are basic, some are very nice. It made me wonder about which manufacturer makes a box with the nicest materials and craftsmanship. I haven't been smoking long, and being American I've only seen some of what is offered by NW cigar makers. I did read where some manufacturers, like Arturo Fuente, make their own boxes in-house while others outsource their boxes. Which boxes have you all seen that made you appreciate its craftsmanship or style?
ctsigler317 Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 Not silly. I have the same question! My local shop charges $5 for any box. Would love to be on the lookout for an extraordinary one to be used for dry boxing or storing accessories.
higgledy Posted October 28, 2023 Author Posted October 28, 2023 My B&M won't sell the really nice boxes like the Opus or Rare Pink boxes. I paid $1 for a Camacho box, which I thought was the nicest out of the lot they would sell.
Paladin865 Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 The Opus X and La Flor Dominicans Andalusian Bull have well made great looking boxes. There are the five count tins from Habanos Retro Linea line that look good
hrs1 Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 The JL Selección Especial & LGC Glorias boxes are pretty snazzy. Behikes aren't too shabby either. 3

Popular Post LLC Posted October 28, 2023 Popular Post Posted October 28, 2023 These are my favourite. 5
BrightonCorgi Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 The LCDH SCDH boxes in the burgundy lacquer were innovative when they came out ~2007. All the cigars were large format so they are accommodating for most use cases.
Popular Post kcmontie Posted October 29, 2023 Popular Post Posted October 29, 2023 Im sticking with the classics. cuban 8-9-8 5
Lamboinee Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 I've never smoked or owned one of these cigars, but the boxes always sound interesting. Some have pneumatic mechanisms that raise and lower the individual cigar tubes. Probably couldn't reuse the box for anything other than a home phlebotomy kit, but they look interesting.
