El Presidente Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 I blame Mike (Madandana) for my Negroni infatuation. The below may be a step too far however. It channels the characteristics of the cocktail with a spicy cherry-orange flavor enhanced by the Wormwood essence of Torino vermouth, allowing for the use of gin or whiskey to create a modern version. Sold in packs of 12 cubes. Instructions: Step 1. Freeze a box of cubes. Step 2. Pop open as many cubes as needed. Step 3. Drop cubes into a shaker or glass, pairing 1 cube with 1.5oz of your favorite gin, whiskey, or seltzer. Step 4. Shake or stir until completely dissolved. Ingredients: Filtered Water, Invert Sugar, Crystalline Fructose, Natural Flavors, Fruit & Vegetable Juice (for Color), Citric Acid, Beta-Carotene (for Color), Wormwood Powder, Sodium Benzoate & Potassium Sorbate (as Preservatives), Quinine. 2
madandana Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 ROB! I’m surprised at you. Surely you know anything Negroni is a good thing. 2
Meklown Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 Not sure about these but I once had a cocktail where the bartender explained that they use some kind of juice/syrup to make the ice such that as it melts, the cocktail will not be diluted but rather changing in flavour. Thought it was a good idea and surprised it isn't more widely done!
