djrey Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Like many members I am on the quest to find NC cigars that I enjoy smoking. I used to smoke a good deal of AJ cigars back around 2010 but largely ignored the brand more recent years when I went purely Cuban Cigars. Saw some members mention these are good so I gave a box a shot. Initial blast of pepper and spice but not overwhelming. This fades to the background fairly quickly which is a nice change of pace for some of these more pepper dominant blenders. The core of the cigar begins to take a slightly sweet woody note. There is a touch of bakers spice that comes in and out. Cigar is fairly solid medium bodied throughout and could be compared to smoking like a stronger JL2. The cigar was fairly one dimensional which is its downfall. I did however smoke these ROTT and look forward to letting some rest and hopefully get a better experience. Picked my box up for under $7 a stick which is quite good considering the state of the industry. My entertainment for today is my Rebelution Pandora station. One of my preferred music selections when relaxing with a cigar. 89 pts, hopefully with room to improve. 2 1
