Recently, I revisited this cigar after not having one for over 3 years. Back in 2020 I got 2 of these and frankly, forgot I had another one. What I do remember about that first one is that I absolutely loved it, even though I’m not the biggest Davidoff fan (this company is some kind of subsidiary of Davidoff apparently).

Pre-light

Good looking cigar, pretty nice wrapper and finish on the cap looks quite tidy. Smells nice, hay and mustiness. I had to cut off a pretty substantial amount to get a good draw. Cold draw is just some light hay.

First third

After lighting, there’s not much flavor to speak of. Some mustiness and maybe some cedar. About 10 draws in there’s distinct cedar and a creaminess that I remember from the first one, just not as good. Bland actually. This continues the entire way into the first third.

Second third

Not much change to speak of, just bland cedar and hay with some cream. Just before the band the smoke gets dirty and earthy, which I really don’t like in such a light cigar.

Final third

Not much more to report, it gets progressively worse as the flavor profile gets all muddled and dirty, the creaminess makes it off putting as it starts tasting rancid. Pitched it soon after this last picture.

Conclusion

Disappointing, the other one I had was all sweetness, cedar, clove and cream. This was not that. But that’s cigars for ya. Construction wise it was fine, and the first half wasn’t necessarily bad, so I tried to score it fairly.
