EAR= Email Assistance Required.

It did bring a smile to my face. ;)

There have been a series of erratic PM's today from the same individual who has been quite active on here over the past 10 days. Finishing off my vacation with DI, I haven't the mental energy.

Over to you good people.

Rob, I just had one of the 2022 RASCC  I just recently got from you, and that is not a real Cuban cigar, I want my money back, or I’m calling my bank, and how dare you knowingly sell me that . Speak up man, I’m calling my bank

i remain bitterly disappointed you have never employed me as your customer service representative. do you know how much fun you have deprived me of, over the years?

Rob, We'd like to say that we understand but honestly...only the 'Ravis of the world' truly can do so. Frankly, I'm waiting for the e-mail where someone complains that a whole box of Habanos ciga

This is indeed a rarity. Maybe twice a year you come across such unbalanced individuals.  I don't particularly mind this type of character as they are not trying to be fraudulent. They are simply clue

Lol, this seems fitting of a one word reply from you - Why?

See where they take it and go from there. Maybe they snap back to reality in the meantime, which saves you from writing a reply.

It's a bit of a lose-lose situation.  While as a small business owner, I always want to make every customer and potential customers feel that we would do anything possible to ensure a great experience.  However, in this case it seems that your customer does not understand the fact that CC's are inconsistent!  It's just a fact.  If they want consistency, they should seek out the many bland-but-consistently linear NC's -- and then return with their perspectives.

You often don't know how good things are until they're less good and challenges pile up.  ...In short, enjoy!  If you can.

If not, wait a few years and enjoy again!  How lucky a problem is that?

Which is hilarious because even NCs can be inconsistent! They can be plugged, not to mention how many people don't realize how to take care of cigars and it's self inflicted. It's almost as if it's a handmade product that requires more than just throwing it in a drawer to never be seen for two years. Tell him to call his bank, not sure what magic he thinks they can do lmao. The cherry on top would be if he is in the States and tried to charge back an order of illegal items he bought. 🧐 real smooth brain vibes

This doesn’t even warrant a response. Clearly someone who hasn’t been around Cuban cigars (or actually any cigars for that matter) for any length of time. You can’t take seriously the people who complain about a natural, handmade product not being consistent.
You are very transparant about how and where you source your cigars and have an unquestionable track record.

If you do want to respond: How did he come to the conclusion it would be fake? What does he expect from you? (The answer to the last one is: free cigars).
In any case, this customer will no longer be your customer. Blacklisted and shared with all other vendors you are friendly with.

People so afraid of fakes they will probably never enjoy any cigar. Shame.

I guess as a business you tell them that they are wrong, refund, and ban.

Does this happen often?

While certainly there is little gain from selling counterfeit RASCC, it's even more preposterous to be erratic and jump down a vendors throat because of an inconsistency problem in a handmade product that is legendary amongst cigar enthusiasts for having QC issues/duds.

Personally I'd send him a link to this thread and nothing else. Either way I'd ensure they are no longer a customer here in the future. Not for 'biting the hand' but for the way he went about it. There are more civilized ways to go about solving an issue.

I think any sort of refund without solid proof that the cigars in question are fakes (which we know he can't provide since they are obviously not fake) would just invites more abuse. Want some free cigars? Tell your vendor that they are fake because of reasons, pepper it with some threats and bam you get a refund.

No proof no refund. And as any sane person knows "it tastes off" is no proof.

To update my prior comment. They should return them. Then refund and ban.

Being a part of this group is a privilege. The person could have posted and asked about irregularities, but they didn’t. They are apparently an expert.

Upon return of the box, Money back, ban from forum and else, move on with a smile and forget it all quick!

On principle I agree. But I am a very easy going person in these matters. Probably because my job is to be contentious in court and negotiations, I try not to let this creep into personal dealings. I'd just ignore this person and ban them, and if they cancelled the transaction with the bank, I wouldn't sweat it. This is because I know there are plenty of good customers lined up to deal with me. It sucks to write off a loss but holding on to the grudge is only going to ruin my vacation with Di and possibly even a few good nights sleep. Not worth the box price.

I feel like they are joking? Like, they just read the thread about the obnoxious customer and this is a cheeky attempt at humor?

Otherwise, what an odd statement.

I'm hoping the person in question shows up on this thread and accidentally outs themselves.

That'd be cool but unfortunately unlikely. Lol the dude shows up and is like "give him his money back and an extra box of cigars and then make him a MOD"

Frankly, I'm waiting for the e-mail where someone complains that a whole box of Habanos cigars brought from you has had perfect construction and have also smoked wonderfully, therefore they must be obviously fakes and they would like their money back!

I was just writing that exact email. Thanks a lot @JohnS !!!!!

Ugh now to think of another diabolical scheme!
