Greetings from Japan!

I’m an American who has been living in Japan for the past decade. I use to smoke cigarettes but gave them up for health reasons, tried pipes but couldn’t keep up with the maintenance (and the prevalence of flavor additives that didn’t taste very good). Then I had a Davidoff No. 2 one morning with an iced latte and ginger biscuits and fell in love with cigars.

For the last year I have been smoking mostly Cubans with a handful of other brands/origins in the mix. I recently tried a Davidoff Winston Churchill Late Hour and enjoyed it all the way through, but have yet to have a Padron that made me freeze anything except dizzy. I love the Cuban “twang” and richness/creaminess in a late afternoon smoke. The last two cigars to hit this mark for me are the Por Larranaga Petite Corona and the Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure de Luxe.

I’m looking forward to learning from all of you!
