Trini Reyes - my weekend coffee and newspaper cigar.

Trini Fundadores - my anytime cigar. Perfect blend and the Vitola I enjoy the most.

Fortunately, I went long on Reyes when they were affordable. Not so much on the Fundies. 😭

This to me is the biggest loss - as someone raised to be financially restrained, if not frugal, on personal indulgences, I can’t derive as much enjoyment from something I know is a poor value. I’m sur

Two Trinis for me.  I won't pay the price for Coloniales.      I can't find

Reyes. Was a staple of my small cigar rotation. Huge loss.  LGC MdO4. Where they heck are they?

The more I read through this the more depressed I'm getting .

HU Connoisseur  #1. I haven’t had any for a while but this was the go to cigar for the Friday afternoon sit down. They are good Cuban cigars and used to be they could be found at an easy price sometimes with a touch of age. Guys knew to throw a few bucks in the kitty and I could afford to give a few away when a new guy showed up. The point is, it wasn’t like the cigars cost close to 20$ each.

The other was the PSD#4, or any cigar that was 10-12$ and now is close to or more than 20$. Never mind Cohiba and Trinidad. I moan the loss of reasonably priced regular production sticks that are now too expensive for ordinary citizens.

Partagas 8-9-8 / Lusitania sorely missed.  Trinidad Reyes have still a lot in stash but won’t buy any for the price HSA asking.

Not buying anymore Siglo VI or Coloniales.  I would have liked another box of Partagas 898, but in 6 years on this forum, I was only ever able to obtain one box.

They are my favorite cigar. I have 2 left from a 2018 box 📦 🥺

Yea man, absolutely. While I would usually manage to stock up in time on many of my faves, the sudden and enduring non-availability of the Partagás 898 caught me completely off-guard.

Coro and Monte 2 for me. Just priced out.

But really there is a long list of smaller regular favourites that have been seriously cut back in the rotation e.g. Monte 4s and 5s, RASS, PSD4. They are all still there but I ration them now.

Sir Winnies.  Even back in 2017, a friend and I had a very hard time finding them.  We finally found a box and split it.  I have 5 left, and they are one of my very special occasion smokes.

Party 898 as many mentioned. It's just nowhere to be found.

Probably the Coloniales as my "priced out" one.

OpusX lanceros

La Muralla. Bizarre being that I rarely go over 44-6 ring.

Honorable mention, I miss my savings.  I still can’t pass on fundadores or Siglo V 😟

Ditto - Coro and Monte 2

Cohiba 1966, Esplendidos, SLR DC, Cohiba DC 2003 Ha ha ha! At least we lived in the glory days. Cheers

I haven’t seen a box of Punch Punch Punch listed anywhere for a while.

Recently I noticed I'm down to my last 7 CoRo.....I immediately started doing mental math to try and justify buying another cab but sadly I just can't justify the price. (Sig III will be the next one down that I wont be able to replace, again due to price).

Party 898s are ones that I miss just due to the fact that I've never actually stumbled across them in the wild....I would jump at the opportunity to snag a box.

Can't narrow it down to 2!

I'm down to my last 6 or 7 Sir Winnies from 2003.  Looks like its going to be tough finding a replacement.

I smoked through a whole box of 2011 Party 898's while mostly leaving an unbelievable box of GSO FEB 06's alone.  They are gold and among the very best cigars I've ever smoked.  With about 10 left from that GSO FEB 06 box looks like they are going to be hard to replace.

I've got about 10 left from a box of OSU MAR 02 Ramon Allones 898's and I'm pretty confident finding a replacement of these is going to either be impossible or cost north of $15k.

Finally, I only have 2 boxes of Party Serie du connoisseur #3's left and wow those are long gone too...

I could certainly go on... Punch Super Selection #1 and 2, Hoyo des dieux and last but certainly not least the LGC MDO line.  Thankfully I went really long on those and have a couple boxes of each 1-4 left.

The only thing that stays the same is constant change.

Does Cuba even roll MdOr anymore? They are making a robusto La Gloria instead. Unreal.

All of them. One of the unquestionable joys of PSD4 was the value. It's not there anymore so I have a hard time replacing the idea of that stick as a "special occasion" cigar in my mind. I've even been financially blessed to the point where my income has increased in lock step with the price increase so it's not really a hardship to keep buying.  But there's something lost to me in way of the value that I cannot mentally overcome.

Same for all the pyramids. Used to have no problem taking monte 4 or uppman no2 on the golf course to have and share. Mind you they were all 10 or less a stick but no more.

I'm going deep on nudies and can't wait to try the MOHfoh line when they get released. There's what buying cigars used to represent to me. Trying something new on a punt and being happy with the result. Also having something my friends didn't have ease of access to as well which presents the opportunity to share. You don't get that when you smoke Alec Bradley or Padron. Not that there's anything wrong with those sticks, but the Cubans used to be a real pleasure to buy and give away.  Nudies now tick that box. Gifted a canonazo to a buddy on the golf course last weekend and blew his mind.

You nailed it.
