El Presidente Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 EAR= Email assistance required. "Rob, quick question. I have come across an empty Partagas Serie P 1 Jar that is in perfect condition. Seller is in my city and I will pick it up. He is asking $200 for the jar. Does that seem about right to you?" I have no idea ....so I am punting it to you 2
ender.lmm Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 Empty jars can be expensive. I've seen some NC jars going for more than that, and I would assume some of the EREL like the Selectos Finos going for even more

Chibearsv Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 $200 doesnt sound unreasonable if you want it. They don’t give them away free with a box. Up charge of $100-200 has been pretty common for jarred cigars. 1
NSXCIGAR Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 Yep, not unreasonable at all. Any of the porcelain jars are going to run you in the $100 neighborhood and the P1 is approaching 15 yrs old and not something you see everyday. A Partial jar of 21 sticks sold last week on BR for $1,855, so maybe $200's a good deal. ?
Fireball Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 I think what something is worth is relative. I would buy a jar for 150- 200 because I think it is cool. But, I don’t always make the wisest choices so .
archosaur Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 Agreed, reasonable price all things considered. I have a handful of jars and this one is my favorite. It's very sexy in person and a well-made and functional piece of memorabilia.Sent from my SM-G981V using Tapatalk
benfica_77 Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 Here's a reference point....https://www.cigars.com.au/product/smoking-accessories/cigar-accessories/humidors-cigar-accessories/coiba-partagas-serie-ceramic-jar I paid 285USD for mine including shipping costs. 200 seems like a good deal to me.
ATGroom Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 Only current production cigar in that size is the SCdLH Prado. Not a cheap stick, but easy enough to get two and a half boxes of those under $800, puts your cost at $1000 plus whatever you pay the band printer. If the partial jar is selling at $1,800 then full presumably at least $2,500. Plenty of profit to be made. Much more if you go NC or custom on the cigars.😄 4

Bad boy!! stop adding gasoline to the fire lolll 1
La_Tigre Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 We bought ours from Spain for 200€ plus shipping two years ago. It is relative to how much you want it and availability. Personally, the display value of this jar in particular makes it a go. Beautiful jar…..regardles that we HATE anything gold. 14 hours ago, ATGroom said: Only current production cigar in that size is the SCdLH Prado. I think this must be book boxing delirium… 😂 1
