Popular Post LordAnubis Posted June 28, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 28, 2023 Eid Mubarak to one and all. I recently did some training in stress and happiness at work. Funny I’m doing that I know 😂. One of the things that came to my attention was the concept of “short meditation”. As a Muslim one of my obligations is praying 5 times a day. One before sunrise (2 minutes) one at lunch (5 minutes) one in afternoon (5 minutes) one at sunset (3minutes) and one at night (5 minutes). I never realised the value of my prayers to my mental health. I pray as an obligation and obviously of my free will and desire to do so to please Allah. However upon reflection I think it has much more of an impact on my day than the spiritual benefit I get from it. Breaking it up as starting the day in calmness and then resetting your mind during the day and then lastly before going to sleep really puts me in a good mental space to carry on even on the most trying of days. I hope you all have a blessed day no matter what you are doing. Take time out during your days. Find something to reset. Plenty of things available if meditation is not a concept that appeals to you. Drguano Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 Eid Mubarak, Mus! May the magic of this Eid fill your heart with wonders and joy. Great spending an evening with you shivering by the river. I am saving the bottle of Vegemite for a special occasion. 1 1
