I have had a ton of fun putting cigars together this week and treated myself to a H. Upmann Number 2 LUB MAY 14.   97 Points straight up.

2014 was a stellar year for Upmann 2. I believe in "runs" and this production "run" was something special.

I have been a huge fan of the 21/22 Upmann Number 2 and I can't recall there being better since 2014. However unless my memory fails me, they do fall just short of fresh 2014's.

For those of you who have the 2014''s in Upmann Number 2...........What has been your experience?

I have a box of LUB14 Upmann2's. They are very good, as were the LUB14 Upmann petit coronas. I have no other boxes to compare them to. Best part about the Upmann2 box? It was a weekly "special" back then from a well known grey market vendor...$199usd/box. Hard to believe that was a mere 8 or 9 years ago.

LUB14 Upmann 2s are the undisputed greatest of all time for me. I’ve had almost all younger years and I’ve had as old as 2004 and none have come close. The BRE run in 18/19 is previewing really well, but LUB14 is really unbelievable. I agree at 98-99 rating for sure. I have a PSP box that is one of the Crown Jewels of my collection.

We did them on the podcast last year and they were one of the highest rated cigars we’ve done. Rated a 98 alongside a Remy Martin cognac.

CoRos and Connie A I have from LUB are also brilliant - just a fantastic snapshot in time at the Upmann factory.

I’ve gone through two boxes of LUB13/14 Connie A’s that were hand picked by Hamlet in Havana and were rolled for festival humidors so have festival bands on them. Both boxes were outstanding and I have one LUB NOV 13 box left. May crack it open this summer

I also have an unopened box of LUB SEP 14 Cohiba Supremos LE’s that I’m looking forward to having.

I bought a box of Upmann #2 PSP LUB AGO 14 a couple of years ago and I found the few I smoked dull as ditch water, so I traded the rest.
I’ve had a recent one from 21 or 22 which was quite good - much richer, if a little young.
I don’t think the Upmann #2 is my cigar!

RyJ Exh 4 from 2014 on the other hand is XXX in my book.

2014s I’ve had were very good but I’d put up GEM 21 as a competitor. Dark mottled wrappers really seemed to add a richness, or maybe it’s the youth?  I killed one of my boxes already and have yet to crack my last one because once it’s open, kiss it goodbye.

I agree with Rob in this.  I bought quite a few LUB 2014 H. Upmann #2 boxes and also a few boxes of LUB 2014 Connie A’s too.  I have smoked them through the years from with an age of at least 3 years.

I still have an unopened box of the of each of the LUB 2014 #2s and the LUB 2014 Connie A’s and waiting for awhile to crack them open because once the boxes are open they will not last long.  Hahaha

But I still think the best and favorite year and H. Upmanns are the 2011 Connie 1s.  I am glad I still have a few boxes of these incredible cigars.

I got a box of NOV LUB 14 Hup#2s to celebrate the birth of my first child. Smoke one a year, but its always a top 5 contender for the year. I'm probably gonna pair down 80% of my cigars soon, but I'll never part with that box.

Send me a five pack and I'll give you an honest assessment.  Was going to smoke an Upmann No. 2 last night, but went with Punch SS instead.  I'll have to check the Upmann box code.  Could be around 2014.

While I dont have the LUB 14 experience. I just had a GEM DIC 21 HU2 last week that was amazing. The wrapper was much more mottled compared to some EPO 22s I have (whose wrapper is a perfect rosado) and honestly didn't look the greatest but it smoked brilliantly.
