Popular Post cigaraholic Posted April 17, 2023 Popular Post Posted April 17, 2023 I guess these used to be classified as cheep and cheerful, before HSA started using 24k gold in their bands. This is a well filled cigar and so are the other 24, no wimpy wind tunnels made it into this box. Beautiful smooth colorado maduro wrapper, my preferred shade for Partagas. Opens with sweet black coffee and campfire toasted marshmallow, a little under medium body. Further in I get some leather and then some cocoa flavors. I’m impressed how sweet the tobacco is at this level. The 19’s I have smoked have been impressive. It’s all sweet coffee and cocoa to the end. I just finished a box of these, also 19’s, they were more typical Partagas flavored, leather, red pepper and nuts. Blindfolded I’d guess these were Montecristo. But who cares about a band, even when it’s 24k gold. 4 1
iggy_marley Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 I have a box of these from 2020. I feel like it's a standard, consistent if unglamorous example of partagas flavor. I'm pretty happy with this box of which I am half way through as I have not had flavor inconsistencies. I would say that my main complaint is that several of them have been on the border of being plugged. For sure I have had to use my perfect draw more than I would like on this batch.
