99call Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 Always the same answer 40RG "Fancy Tales of Smoke". Cabeza tombada both ends. Blend would be 2015 Bolivar No 1 with a general Trinidad donutty sandalwood thrown in, Basically trying to re-create old band Fundy flavour profile. Stronger, earthier and more floral. This would be the imagery on my box, surrounded of course by all the medals I would win 3
Cabbie Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 I would love to try a lancero that was basically a RyJ and a HUHC lovechild. Just need to have that cherry. 1
cgoodrich Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 I know Rob said state the size and pick 2 cigars for flavor profile. While I love a Corona Gordas size 46x143mm, I’m going outside the box a bit. Perfectos!!! Start with a 44-46rg at foot, increase to a 50-52rg in the middle, then taper down to 42-44rg at the head. Length somewhere between 140-165mm (5.5”-6.5”). Think Fuente Hemingway/Cuaba/La Aurora Preferidos. Flavor profile: Sweet spice/caramel flavor a Cameroon wrapper has (Fuente), the caramel profile of aged PLPC, the sandalwood from aged Raphael Gonzalez, and the citrus twang from Juan Lopez. Lite chocolate and coffee notes. And definitely a healthy dose of floral in the aroma. Good smoke volume, medium in strength. Not asking for much…😄 2
Neil McDonald Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 How about a double Lancero a La Uday Hussein custom made Cohibas? 1
Jackdani7401 Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 Piramide would be my vitola of choice. In my opinion this is just a classy vitola with just the right amount of smoking time. Flavor profile, I’m thinking RA meets RyJ. Stewed stone fruits meets cherry and chocolate. Hopefully not asking for too much and this seems to be a popular vitola not already covered in the nudie lineup. 3
ha_banos Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 I just fancy a big fat custom roll of fat RG. 52-54. 4-6" .. hell, different length half wheels of it. Smooth, oily, rich, spicy, complex. Talisman meets RyJ Churchill. Howzat!? 1
GoodStix Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 Corona Gorda or Churchill with orange in the blend, like JL2 Cointreau 2

Bill Hayes Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Can you make a Churchill that's a mix of Cohiba 1966 and Diplomatico Bushido? With aged wrapper? Not asking for much. Ha ha! Seriously though, a robusto size like JL#2 meets Boli PC. Cheers. PS. Looking forward to the new Gorda and PC.
Zaxeiler Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Now that we have a nice lancero (in the N1) I find myself hungry for a non-petit corona. Looks like that size is coming in the MOFOH lineup. As for flavors, personally love a sourdough bread core, could be topped with cocoa (in the maduro route) or honey/graham cracker if lighter. But the elusive note that maybe I only personally like, would be a touch of citrus. That type of bread/cream + lemon for example is a home run for me. 3
Edicion Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 I'd love to have a thicker torpedo 52-54rg with 166mm in length that tastes like rich Gluhwein (mulled wine) sweet, salty and Christmas spices. 2

Do like the idea of a Churchill too though. I'm a big HU fanboy. Wouldn't have to be a Sir Winnie to keep my interest for a long smoke, but would have to have richness, sweet spice, and breadiness with twists and turns along the way. Maybe Connie 1 up front meets D4 on the back would work. . . or be a muddled mess. Hell if I know.
Popular Post El Hoze Posted April 15, 2023 Popular Post Posted April 15, 2023 I think my perfect cigar would be a churchill that tastes like a Sir Winston. 2 1 4

BoliDan Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Just bring back lanceros. That's what I would do Every Marca, lanceros city 2

RDB Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 I love the early Nudies focus on slim ring gauges, and think both N1 and N3 are brilliant. They are and will be in my rotation. However, I do love me an Ex.4 - perfect size for a moderate amount of time but plenty of smoke and flavour. If and when Nudies makes this kind of size, PLEASE do an Ex.4 rather than the more conventional Robusto. In terms of blend? I’d like a D4 with a smidge of Cohiba sweet citrus spice! So kind of like a Choix Supreme, but a bit more on the bready side. 1

PigFish Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 The real issue here is that Tabacuba used to make plenty of them. I require no imaginary blend. Just the same extraordinary blends to be found offering a host of unique and mystical experiences once found in smoking Cuban cigars. How about the RAPC? It was real. It was real good and not at all imaginary. -tP 2
gcman68 Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 It would be fun to experiment. I am going to be happy to buy whatever you make in the 46-50 RG just waiting on them. If options are out there I would make something with a real oily wrapper like La Flor puts out but with a binder and filler that lets the wrapper shine. Alternatively, something strong NOT peppery that is designed to be put down or smoked real strong when young. Putting down cigars and sampling them until they reach my personal sweet-spot is something I personally enjoy as part of the hobby. Britanica size as well. I enjoyed the old CF when they came out years ago.

I was telling Rob exactly the same thing on Zoom a couple weeks ago - always have wished the RG was more widely embraced. This or a dalia would be my go to - not that there's much difference between the two. I'd like it in any (or all!) of three blends: 1) Choix Supreme meets Siglo II/III; 2) Trinidad with some QdO Coronas Claro; 3) basically as close to the Punch 898 as you can manage. 1

The Party Aliados will be 45 but also out of reach. And I don't smoke Fonseca and Cazadores and 898s are like bigfoot. Siglo V is obviously out of reach. So 43-45, we're pretty much burnt. 1
