Grateful13 Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 30CHF each really isn't that bad, all things considered. Same price as the Orgulossos were at release 4-5 years ago now.

GavLew79 Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 Good god. Beautiful. I'm a sucker for Qd'O. <Correction. I _was_. Too rich for me, I'd imagine. >
Lamboinee Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 The American English Word of the Day is "Royale" - which doesn't seem to be recognized by spellcheck. I find it curious that there is no accento over the word "selection" on the outer packaging but there is an accento used on "selection" on the interior ribbon. If the exterior package were to use the American English version of "Selection" (no accent) then I would presume that they were also using the American English version of Royale on the outer box....but according to the interweb, the American English version of Royale is defined as either a) a high-fashion custard accessory used to decorate your soup, or b) the french name for a pulp fiction quarter pounder. Perhaps this is another oddity like the different connoisseur spellings used on the Upmanns? Perhaps I'm way off base? Perhaps they are ironically using versions of words from different languages to represent the multi-lingual nature of Switzerland? On a related note...If you have one of the Nudies in your humidor, is it a Nudie, a Nude, a Desnudo, a soltero puro desnudo? FML, I'm going back to bed. 1

Lunettesman Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Little rant on my part... Been a good customer of swiss LCDH et habanos spécialiste. Tried to get a box and the only answered i got was: Cohiba and Trinidad are taking the dust so if you take some then we sell you a box... I declined of course. I was pretty frustrated to see that one box is already on Bond Roberts. Don't get me wrong I love Bond Roberts and i have been using in it. I just can't understand how a french dude got a swiss regional edition before everyone and then flip it to make a quick 2k. Why would habanos lower their prices when they see that? They only have incentive to increase prices... Rant over. Thanks.

Trust me! since Brexit, the whole fricken planet has closed its shop doors and its hugely frustrating for me. I don't know where you are, but getting frustrated about a Swiss dealer preferring I much easier transaction with a French customer, is a pretty illogical. We all have slight upper hands in different situations. You might find it easier when certain south American regionals come out, who knows, that's your advantage. 3 With these things it's always worth while thinking about the other persons life. The manager of that LCDH probably gets pummelled with phone calls from all over the world. If it was me, I would sell to a bordering country every.......single.......... time. Whenever I make these sorts of approaches. I'm very much like "if you have a box, if you can swing it. if you want to... then great.....if not 100% understand. 1

My disappointment is probably translated in frustration. I feel the more habanos increase their price, the more people are greedy and it's sad for me. Days of camaraderie are soon gone... 2

But still we do have to extend our sympathies to people working in the trade, they are in a real horrible place at the minute. The 'never sellers' the 'never sellers that change their mind' the 'part time flippers'. the 'non-smoking habitual flippers'. Sadly we just have to accept that the world of epicurian goods is now a lawless, loyalty free pursuit.

No worries i thought so👍🙏i wouldnt even blame the LCDH if they were to auction those boxes. But the flipper with deep pockets is harder to swallow!
